Hello everyone. Saw a tone of youtubes of you guys and for the past 4 months been wanting to multi box. Was finally able to talk the wife into getting me a new computer and it should be here sometime this week. I try to read everything on the forums but there are a ton of active users and it is hard for me to keep up. What I am going to ask is what probably gets asked all the time. I tried searching for it but could not find it. If it is out there please redirect me to where it is.
What I am thinking about my team would be either 4 locks and a priest; 3 locks, a priest, and pally; or 4 sham and a pally.
I do not know what setup will be the best for what i want to do. This is what i am planning to do, going to mostly PVE (probably PVP just to get gear). Want to be able to hold my own in most heroics.
I think that the 4 locks would be insane because all the dots and the seeds and have the priest heal. Only down side is that there is no tank and having clothies in a heroic with no tank is not good.
3 locks, a priest, and a pally tanking i think would be great in heroics. You have the pally to keep agro on everything, and the locks just seed everything.
If i go this way i don't know what spec to have the locks. I was thinking to have the priest as a shadow and just dps too and throw up heals when needed (planning to kill everything with seed quick so not planning on healing too much).
Then you have the famous 4 sham and a pally group. Think this would be the easiest to do heroics, but it seems like everyone is doing it so that is why i was thinking locks (i just think the seeds will mow everything down fast).
If I do go locks and priest was thinking to have them all go tailoring and enchanting. With tailoring i can get the shadowcloth set and with enchanting i can get the +spell damage bonus.
Any help would be great. This is mostly going to be PVE for heroics mostly soloing (sometimes taking 3 of my dps to group with healer and tank). Only 10 arena a week for points and not that much bg. So if you can help me pick a group and what spec is best.
Probably going to set up my team probably thuresday or friday this week and i know that macros are going to take awhile to setup so i don't want to set up macro for a group that wont be able to do what i want to do.
Thank you again from the noob.

My Main is a shaman, I have a 3xsham,pally, druid team and 3xshaman (with another 2 to be leveled)
and while I love shaman to bits, I am REALLY enjoying my 4lock/priest combo.
I have just got them to 14 and instant corruption is fried gold. I run through groups of mobs hitting each for 9 dots then run around collecting the loot.
It even makes the collection quests more enjoyable, as a single pull results in most of the required item for a single character.
Shams are great but until 32 you are stuck with LB spam

[edit] Never mind, Lightning Bolt of course :D
Im running the Priest + Lock x4 combo with similar intentions as you. Although I've never done Heroics, so Im not sure about using this team for that.
So far leveling has been a breeze. Void Walkers make great tanks so far (not sure about later levels), my DPS is insane, and my priest does nothing but Heal-On-Demand.
I am going for Tailoring/Enchanting as well with one alt in Skinning for $$$. Havent tested PVP yet in BGs, although I did pick-up my first ever, and so far only, world PVP kill the other day :)
Been running instances for leveling and havent run into any issues with this team that cant be resolved with a little tweak in strategy. Gnomeregan was a bitch, but i dont think that had anything to do with my teams make-up.
Good luck with whichever team you decide on.

I was gonna say earlier before IE crapped out on me...I chose the pala/4shamen route; you said you wanted to do heroics and you have 2 options for that "for the most part"; 5 shaman kiting/earth ele'ing everything(including waiting on earth ele cooldowns constantly) or pala MT making mobs stick to him like glue/4 shamen dpsing, one of the 4 possibly healing. Heroics hit too hard to use a priest/lock setup so you will most likely not get very far with it; keywords being "most likely" not "will not do at all"; you can TRY to get it to work but it probably won't :P

I think that I am going to do the 4 sham and a pally. Wanted to do the 4 locks and a priest, but I want to be able to do heroics to gear my guys and get some cash. The other good thing is that i am new to this so have the same class would be easy. After i get bored of my shams i can create my 4 locks and a priest and when they get high enough i can switch between the 4 shams with 3 locks and a priest or something like that.
What do you guys think my skills should be. Going to take herb/ach for my pally. For the shams i am think enchanting for all 4 of them and then one with mining, skinning, ach, and ach. With 3 ach i should make good money in transmutation stuff plus 2 of my shams will get the nice neck item that ach has. What do you think?
Also getting the rest of my computer stuff so hopefully i will be able to connect everything today and install the OS tomorrow. Then the fun time of setting up the 5 instances of wow (thinking about using junctions), setting up keyclone (so i might be sending you some pm rob), and then setting up the macros. The good thing is that my pally is 26 so i have time to learn the 4 shams before they catch up (i think i can 4 man up to 26 with no problem).
one more thing. About getting honor in bg, should I grind all the honor i need at lvl 69 to get my s1 (probably s2 when i get there) gear; get to 70 so i can start arena and lose to get points and get killed in bg; or is there a certain lvl where 4 sham just own bg? (Don't think i will use my pally in bg, think it will be too hard to control a melee and 4 dps at the same time against people)

You won't last long in arenas without pvp gear, and all 70 bgs will be full of s3 welfare smacktards, so yea grind honor pre-70 if you can, honor comes in as you earn it, no waiting a week for piddly arena point income and by the time you can afford anything good it'll all have rating reqs or better will be out lol
Definently take alch on Pala if for nothing else than the Alch Stone trinket in case you have to use either healing or mana pots while taking, get the most out of the pots. Selling cooldowns would be good too, and make sure you have an Ench in there somewhere.Tailoring's a good idea for early cloth gear on the Shamen(since leather caster gear is non-existant pre-mail at lv40) and at 70/375 you can sell off Spellcloth cooldowns for more money + craft some nice caster gear if you bother with a non-mail caster set, if not, crafting stuff like Spellcloth set for other casters for profit :p

what level should i start farming for honor points? I know the 10-19 lvl has a bunch of people that are all geared out. Should i avoid this area and focus on grinding at the 30-39 area? In that area i get my chain lighting and pallies and warriors cannot use plate yet (i will still be in leather but i think that is minor cause taking them out will be easy). Do you get the same amount of honor points in a 10-19 bg as you do a 60-69 bg? Should I bring my pally in to get some honor too or will that hurt the team?
Sorry for all the noob questions, just trying to lvl as quick as i can. I know that pvp gear is not that good for pve, but i'm thinking it is good enough for heroic badge farming. This is what i am thinking as a game plan, farm bg and get full season gear pre 70. Hit 70 and equip the pvp gear and do some heroics to get badge to get better pve gear. Just don't know the best lvl to farm honor

I'd wait till the 51-60 AV bracket personally; AV's our best huntin ground and the gear ain't too bad there yet if you wait till yer in the yer mid to late 50s, 58-59ish with outlands gear is best if you want to do best. Anything lower is non-AV and you'll be eatin most of the team slots, and the non-boxer slots will tend to be filled with retards who don't cap or defend and instead follow you around going "OMG LOLZ HAX BOTS COOL I WANNA DO IT HOW DO U DO IT WATS A FLAG WHATS A CAP POINT WTF Y I DIE"(aka a normal alliance bg minus the bots/hax bit) etc lol
If you move up to the 61-70 bracket of AV yer gonna get run over kinda bad by welfare nubs; (60?)61-69 brackets of other bgs might not be so bad but you still have to worry about idiots not playing and focusing on you instead lol; low lvl brackets ain't worth it and are piddly honor per kill + all the twinks will rape you silly.
