I've been reading through the tons of pages of people posting about their accounts being banned for not having the same names registered to each of the accounts. But I have a different question to ask. The question comes up because I was stupid enough to call blizzard and ask for all my accounts to have their email changed to the same email. ( Stupid. yes i know. I don't know what came over me to decide to do that )

Now, heres the kicker. The phone rep I was talking to at the time noticed that all the accounts on the email that I wanted to transfer to, guess what, all had different names registered to them, first and last. He reminded me that account sharing was a bannable offense and that all linked accounts could be banned if proven that I was indeed account sharing.

Now heres the question. He said the word "all LINKED accounts" can and will be banned. However, from all the threads that I have read, Blizzard only seems to be banning the accounts that are not under the main person's registered name. Whichever person has the majority of the ownership of the boxxed accounts.

Are there any confirmations whether Blizzard will indeed ban all linked accounts or simply only the ones not under the main owner's name?

This question comes to me because I am debating on repurchasing all 5 accounts or only the 3 that are not registered to my name.

Thanks ahead of time.

they will link them based on credit card number, billing address, ip address, anything they want to use against you. ;)

Breaking the rules is breaking the rules, if you are affiliated or links to the accounts then action can be taken to the other accounts as a further violation of account sale/trade/share and/or compromise.

You do a wrong on any account expect to be punished.
