Hi,

My system:

Intel core quad CPU 2.66GHZ 3.19 GHz
4GB mem
Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit

Dual 8800 GTX with 2 20" wide screens - but using 1 video card because i cant use 2 screen with SLI

main char on the left screen full screen but window mode(full screen) other 3 on the right screen but small windows.

the problem is im getting really really low fps when in orgrimmar or when there are a bunch of ppl together even outside orgrimmar where they are dualing.

Is there any way i can higher the FPS rating? Maybe upgrade to more mem its using like 80% while boxing together. or tweak my card?

any help is welcome :)

and please tell if you need more information about my system / setup.

Cheers,
Oc

Howdy Denk and welcome to the forums!

make sure you are running at the lowest graphic settings

wow in-game graphic detail macros (helps performance) ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=6521')

you may also consider dropping your resolution... 1600x1200 for 2 screens is a lot of pixels to calc. dropping it to 1280x1024 for 2 screens saves a ton of work

Also what are you setting your Maxbkfps and maxfps? And another thing i have noticed is the cpu affinity makes a difference in play. Even tho the FPS say they are good if the cpu affinity is not optimimal it will feel like the FPS are bad when in fact its the cpu thats sluggish. Try to leave 1-2 cores free to run system things. I was playing with these combos last night and noticed if i used all 4 cpus the computer runs very slow once you add the 5th client. But when i leave 2 cpus free its 20% smoother

I don't think he means to disable any cpu's. Since you're asking this question I'm assuming that you have a quad core cpu. I think what he means is to set the affinity for all of your WoW's, but don't use all of the cpus. I haven't tried this yet but I'm going to try it tonight. Here is an example of what I'm talking about, not sure how well this will work though. You can set the affinity either through keyclone or your task manager.

WoW1 - cpu0
WoW2 - cpu0
WoW3 - cpu0
WoW4 - cpu1
WoW5 - cpu1

I think thats probably what he's talking about, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
