Keyclone crashing.

I start up keyclone, and let my instances load up. One loaded up i start to login, Now its randon at which point it happens as its happen when ive been switching PiP and its happened when ive been ingame all logged in and ready to go.
All that happens is Keyclone crashes and i get the "Send Report" "Dont Send" thingy in the middle of my screen. So then i have to close all my instances down and reload keyclone.

Could anyone help me with this problem please.
On a side note. Is there anyway to load Keyclone on its own? So that Maximizer doesnt load up the instances until i want to?

iirc, in the "general" section, towards the bottom, is the check box you're looking for. I can't remember what it's called, but it's pretty obvious what it does. You just need to uncheck that and then you'll have to manually have it launch the wow instances after you start keyclone. Sorry I can't be more specific, I'm not at home right now.

Edit2 : Crashing still happening :( I cant think of any more information i could add really, Only that this time i was logging in my 4th instance and it crashed.

try removing the keyclone directory.. ini file and everything.

then, download directly from the main site: http://solidice.com/keyclone
install and run normally (do both as admin if you are on vista)

no worries.. your license is forever.

if your system-id changes (which only happens on hardware changes and/or os re-installs)... i'll gladly transfer your license to the new system-id

and yes.. you should upgrade your keyclone whenever you like.

check to see if you have anything running. download the install... close the browser.. then right-click on the install binary and run-as admin.

once installed... drag the icon to the desktop.. and right-click.. run-as admin.

if that still crashes, then you either have a bad download (you did get it from http://solidice.com/keyclone .. didn't you), or a corrupted mfc71 dll is loaded in memory and being used by some other program. try turning off anything you see in your tool tray (lower right)... then re-running (always as admin)

if you still have no luck, voice comms would be easier. let me know if that's the case

Don't know if it is related but I have had a consistent crash with Keyclone (I'm on version 'g') that seems related to PiP and since the OP mentions PiP I thought I would mention it here. I'm not 100% sure on the repro steps but basically if I hit the "mute" button (the one that stops keys going to windows other than the main) pretty much immediately after hitting a PiP button, I get a Keyclone crash. I find that as long as I wait a second or two after hitting PiP and then hit the mute button, everything is ok. But if I am doing it too fast, boom, crash every time. Don't know if this is a known issue or something new, but it is 100% reproable so I thought I would mention it (especially if during the OP was using PiP and the mute button to switch between clients logging them all in).

Wondering if hitting the mute button too quickly is causing some key message that PiP relies on to be sent through to not turn up and so your app blows up, yay for making assumptions about your app! :)

I've been having that too, didn't think it was too noticable to mention as I just learn't to wait a few before I pressed it.

Basically Rob, if you have say 4/5 windows on 1 comp and I press say F11 for my 4th window and hit pause right after, it gives a error and says Keyclone has been shut down. I just exit all my clients and restart.

I was doing it for chatting in Thunder Bluff mainly last night. Getting tells on different characters buggers me up. :)

So I am in the process of swapping to all the screens and adjusting macros or key bindings (hence the need to unpause -> PiP -> pause again). If I switch too fast and hence hit pause too fast, it crashes. Note that I also have 5 WoWs running as I 5-box.

I had a few issues with keyclone crashing but assumed it was due to my crappy comp being unable to handle 5 wows and keyclone with lack of resources leading to one of them closing.

That being said, it did only happen in safe places when I was handing quests in or getting ready to log. I think alot of the time I was switching to one toon to do this (once due to having all bag spaces full, so had to run to the vendor, and the other times to mail items/go and train) and pausing keyclone so I didn't forget it was running and make my alts do crazy things while I wasn't 'watching' them.

please remove the existing keyclone folder and download the latest version, v1.9h. when you run it for the first time, it will present you with a setup wizard. the default settings are usually enough for most people, just remember to input your account names. when it's done, it will run all your wows in the layout you chose.

if you are still having issues, please drop me a note.

My Keyclone is still bugging!

I deleted all folders and all things of Keyclone and then i downloaded the new version from the off homepage, but iam still getting the same error!

Keyclone was running on my PC till i closed it for some hours and after that time iam always getting this error

Pls tell me a way to fix this bug

sadly that was the latest version and as photo bucket shows it wont let the wizard start up that was my first time starring the program with a valid license the other time the license was expired and it open fine i deleted the files and re un zip the program yet it still happens

I am running Vista, So I install as admin and run program as admin, made sure that I downloaded from http://www.solidice.com/keyclone/keyclone_v1.9h_19jul2009a.exe. Tried copying .exe to desktop. Crashes immediately can not even run program. :cursing: I too just paid for program and cannot run. Any help that you can give to get me up and running would be great. djkenjr@gmail.com
