I started boxing yesterday as well. Took some days to figure out what to do and since my pc doesn`t really handle 5 accounts to well I decided to go with 3.
To learn keyclone a bit I decided to go with 3 shamans. Seemed like the easyest setup to go with.

Now I have some weird problem. Sometimes when they follow me around my 2 other shamans who are of follow keep on running even while my main stops. Seems like they get afffected by my W key which is disabled for non mains and it seems like it gets stuck or so since they won`t stop untill I slow the down with a mouseclick. It`s pretty annoying seeing that they pull a lot of unwanted company.

Thanks in advance :-)

How have you disabled WASD on your alts? Have you deleted the keybindings for them or are they on the do-not-pass list?

The are on the not pass list.

I'm guessing that you have focus-follows-mouse turned on and that you use the mouse to steer.

If that's the case, as you move the mouse around, it drifts into the other windows (even though the cursor is invisible while you have the right mouse button held down) and so the movement keys get sent to the alts.

I've been having the same issue with my team. I currently run two PCs, both with KeyClone. I have WSAD and the Shift, Alt, Ctrl versions too on the do-not-pass list. I had focus follows mouse on (turned it off) and I still occasionally get the problem. I'm using a formation setup so it normally happens when I hit the formation key and I keep my main running forward. I guess one just wants to go with her =P

I've spoken with Rob (KeyClone) about it and he's the one that gave me the do-not-pass suggestions. I don't know if it's an issue or not with the software but I've just taken it slow and made sure my characters are stopped before I attack. So far, so good. It only happened on two of my girls too which I found bizarre but w/e, I've found my workaround.

Personally, I think it has something to do with delay where my girls aren't catching the stop from my main but being that you're only using one PC, that's probably not your issue unless your computer can't really handle the three instances running. My warlock caused a party wipe because of that but it was funny at the time. Oh well, maybe that will help. Good luck and welcome to the forums!

I think Mak hit on your problem.

unless explicitly bound, shift-w = w, ctrl-w = w, alt-w = w etc

so if you have w down and press shift-1 then shift-w could also be sent.

NOTE: Wow reads keystrokes as a key down and a key up.

so this shift-w will be read by wow as shift-w down = run forwards

however after you have finished with shift-1 and released both, then only the w key is held down... letting go of it will send the w up to the client which is blocked by keyclone because w is on the DNP. The clients never receive the shift-W up keystroke and so continue running forwards.

SOLUTION (I hope)
add all modified versions of wasd to the DNP list

What I found works great (I have none of these issues of clones running off and grabbing loads of elite friends) is head out to your local computer store and pick up either a Nostromo n52 or a Satiek pro gamer command unit ('http://www.saitek.com/uk/prod/cyborgcommand.htm') (the second being the one i use). Both of these game pads work in about the same way and are fully programmable. The nice thing is you can program your arrow keys for movement and unbind wasd in wow. This allows you to leave wasd out of the do not pass list which means you can talk with all your clones. Honestly how some multiboxers spend tons of money on hardware, software, and accounts but yet still use a basic keyboard is beyond me.

Sorry for replaying late. I got it fixed. I just disabled my W key on the 2 following chars and kept it on my main.

Thanks for the quick replies :-)
