I've cleared the non 70 dungeons with my 5 box. Mostly, it hasn't been a huge challenge. Plenty of wipes on some of the instances but it was a learning curve.

Im running a paly tank & 4 shadow priests. The paly has now got 490 def and although his threat generation is still quite pathetic, i can keep aggro with him and even, after mid fight, get to use a mind blast or two with the priests without stealing aggro. I can usually also get aggro back with aggro reseting bosses.

Now I've come up to the movement/fear bosses. In particular, mechanar boss 2 (fire elementals), shadow labs boss 1&2 (fear/mc) or Botanica boss 2.

The issue I have is movement. Whilst for example mechanar boss 2 could be beaten by setting up movement keys on the 4 priest boxes (1 key which moves each charatcer along one side of the room) I am at a loss on how to handle the fear bosses. The fear on SL boss 1 lasts forever and by the time it finishes my characters are spread all over the place and /follow wont gather them. Boss 2 again often runs chars completely out of /follow range plus the 4 priests chain fear eachother during the mc stage. Some bosses, such as botanica boss 2, require changing the direction you are facing which i find grueling.

Any pointers on these trickier encounters? Or is the best adivce simply not to bother and skip these bosses where possible?

Priests are at least better than some. You can VT+VT+SW:P without having to be facing the target.

Shadow Labyrinth Boss 1 (Ambassador Hellmaw)
Do not fight this guy in the room where he is chained, fight him in the hallway behind him that leads to To'gun. This will help with getting too spead out during fear and is also helpful for directing the acid cone away from your squishies.

Shadow Labyrinth Boss 2 (Blackheart the Inciter, a.k.a. Assface)
Again, positioning is vital, fight him in one of the corners to the left or right when you enter the vestibule. This will save time when punted as you will likely hit a wall and keep the group tight during the MC when you are fearing yourself. As long as you can snap back agro to your tank and get everyone refaced you should be okay.

Mechanar Boss 2 (Nethermancer Sepethrea)
You're kinda screwed on this one because of Mind Flay hampering movement. Don't think kiting to Calculator's room works anymore so this may come down to fire resist. With your dpsers keep them clumped and do some shoot and scooting, it's inevitable that they gonna get hit or have to walk briefly through a fire trail hence FR being a good idea. When they start puffing you go balls to wall. Just pray your tank doesn't get targeted by them. Pretty sure the disorient of her fire breath thing can be removed and agro re-established pretty fast by your pally.

Don't have enough experience on Botardica to say

Re-roll your priests to Dwarf or Draenai? Or Undead? :)

Other than that I think it's just going to be a PITA, unfortunately.


Edit: One thing that might be possible is to find some very small platform or rock that you can jump up on, that won't cause the boss to evade bug. Then generally fear will not cause you to run off it.
