TLDR: Great event to level up other teams and get free gear -- don't forget to use RAF !
I haven't played in years, but they had a WoW Free Weekend last week and I logged in.
I went to the Radiant Echoes event and saw that I could just hover above an active echo and when people completed it, I got the reward.
So I logged in 5 accounts, pulled out my RAF Rockets and auto-followed. Worked well.
Then I started leveling up all my toons to 70. Did that over the free weekend and almost had them all leveled. Decided to subscribe so I could finish leveling them up and then decided to make some more teams. I normally have a "main team" that focuses on gear, then I have a bunch of other teams just for fun -- in case I ever want to use different classes then I already have them.
In my haste I totally forgot to use Refer A Friend. :(
Now I have to see what races start are not stuck in a "leveling zone", are maybe level 10, etc -- to speed things up to get to the event.
But yeah, it's a good way to box without having to worry about getting into trouble.
