I started 5 boxing about 2 weeks ago. I'm having a blast at it so far, but I decided to go from my 2 computer x5 characters with 3 screens to 5 comps and 6 screens. I ordered my slave computers yesterday and the specs of them are below.
The main issue I'm having now is deciding on what kinda hardware I need for the switch/multiplier setup. What I'm looking for is the basic 5box functionality setup. I'm wanting to have all PC's controlled off the same keyboard/mouse. Then have the option to type and use the mouse on just the Main comp or switch over and use the mouse to loot on all the slaves for quests etc. I'm sure there is a way to loot individually if you want one to have a piece of gear in the 5 man vs all 5 trying to loot at once as well. "Guess by using wireless mouse x4 which I was hoping i wouldn't have to do if possible."
I saw a Diagram from someone the other day, but can't seem to find it now. I didn't bookmark it and this was before I was sure if I was even going to go full hardware or to continue using Keyclone.
Anyone who can possibly help here? Just can't seem to find a good hardware diagram for this basic 5 box setup.
Really not wanting to buy a bunch of random hardware and figure out that's not what I need. hehe
This is what I have come up with so far....
Multiplier "4port": http://www.vetra.com/844text.html
KVM "2port": http://www.vetra.com/882text.html
YMouse: http://www.xkeys.com/ymouse/whym02.php

I have read from people posting that ps2 has a faster response time than USB. So I'm assuming I should go with ps2 on all these and get a few splitters? Or does the ps2 vs USB really make much difference?
Just looking for helpful advice is all.
