I have taken my 5 shamans in on kara run's the past few weeks and have downed every boss except the Shade of Aran. The other bosses are quite easy once you figure out the correct strategy which is different then the norm when using 5 shamans. I have a problem with the shade pulling me in and then having to run out and make sure that all 5 get in the alcoves and also problems interupting the spells he casts. Any tips or suggestions, good ideas? would be greatly appreciate. Thanks in advance.

i haven't 5boxed this encounter yet, but i have 2boxed it (with 2 keyboards, not multiboxing). What I did in this situation was just reached over and hit the autorun (numlock) key on the alt after he pulled me in. Given that, I figured what I would do with the multiboxing approach would be immediately follow, and when I get close to the perimeter of the room, hold down the up arrow key (which make ALL my toons move forward, not just the leader) until they hit the wall.

I have done this many times with my priest+4 warlock team. I also found this to be one of the harderst in kara, but when I got the hang of it, it was one of the easyest. It might be a bit harder with shamans since they are not as mobile as locks/priests. When I was pulled in, I allways very quickly dispelled myself (priest) first then ran out to the sides while dispelling the locks. Usually this worked. Also I have a lot of pvp gear and with buffs my locks have 14-15k hp so they usually survive an aoe also.
However with shamans you cant dispell the slowbuff. I can see that this certanly makes things harder. I'm not sure how often he usually pulls you in, but maybe you can use the 2min cd pvp trinket? This should remove the slow and you could run fast to safety. The key also is to react instantly when you are pulled in.

Hmm I'm not anywhere close to getting into kara atm, but i do have one or two suggestions that might help
this is one of the few encounters where the pvp trinklet might not only come in handy, but may be essential
so the pvp trinklet will save you for the first wave.
then make sure ur ahnks are up on all characters. and use them if you don't manage to escape
now onto movement:
what i guess you normally are doing is pressing your follow macro and running with your main until you reach the end. This unfortunately wont work most of the time as it simply takes too long.
There is a neat trick tho (can't remember who came up with it tho).
The idea is when you get pulled in, press your follow macro and start running to the edge. Here is where it changes. Instead of doing this until you reach the end, you have to press your universal move forward button the moment your clones turn to face the way you want to run. The reason for this is that then they wont be lagging a few steps behind but should be almost right on top of you.
as for interrupting spell casts have a separate Earth shock key set on round robin
the macro should be
/stopcasting
/cast Earth Shock
that way whenever you press it it will take one of your shammies and cancel his cast and instead interrupt with ES. just be sure not to spam this and only press it in quick succession if it looks like one was resisted.
EDIT: that idea with the priests is a great idea :) see if you can get them (if you have one in your raid) to mass dispel once they reach the end themselves. might be a lifesaver for your team

Can't use the follow macro when Aran does the pull/slow. You have to press forward instantly and hold until at the outside of the room.

Thanks in advance.Cheat, DPS from behind one of the desks, they stop you from getting pulled in, then you have A LOT more time to get into an alcove.
OR get em all the PVP trinket I believe it removes the slow effect.

Also, I know from past experience, that if you start running right as you hit the ground, you can get quite a few feet before you get the slow on you.
Id say just smash the run forward button, then when you run into a wall, just turn them all a bit. The ones in the coves will just turn and run into a corner.
