Hey everyone,

I'm new to the forums but started 5-boxing last summer. It was great fun, I leveled my party to 53, then lost momentum (partly due to family emergency), but I'm starting back up again.

My new party setup consists of 5 different classes to maximize buffs, loot utilization, and overall diversity and fun. They consist of:

Ragnar (Paladin)
Maara (Mage)
Healie (Priest)
Braay (Druid)
Naara (Shaman)

So far I've run Deadmines a few times and started on BFD last night. Right now my party is at 21/22, and besides a few stupid mistakes (engaging with low mana), everything is working as well as expected. My intention is to primarily grind instances, and possibly run heroics when the time comes. I'm running 5 laptops using MultiBox software (I started using it last year, and it still works great for me).

I'm somewhat surprised that I haven't seen this class combination on the forums at all...so I'm glad to be one of the first ones to try this out and report my findings. So far I haven't run into any significant challenges, although I'm still relatively low level. My previous 5-box party (Warrior/Priest/Mage/Shaman/Shaman) worked well too, so I have a lot of experience with the old world instances already.

I do not in any way shape or form intend to burst your bubble, but I have a full party of those exact classes at 70. Good choice in group make up. Its a solid combo. Can run any 5-man in the game. How are you speccing them?

Hey Zarocks!

I am on the exodar server as well. I don't have as much experience as you have, but it's nice to see that there is another person multi-boxing. I wish I was able to run 5, but I am starting slowly at two and enjoying it. :D

Anyways, if you see little Sadism and Masochism, throw me a wave. I am on Horde side.

Wow, my crew is the same except instead of a shaman, I have a warlock. I mainly picked the 'lock for CC but was very tempted to add a shaman. I might roll one just so I can swap out a toon if necessary. It's great to see that I'm not the only one on here doing a 5 class crew. Good luck with them!

And wow, Bigfish has that crew at 70. I want to be you! Oh well, I'll get there hopefully soon. I just have to get my butt off my main and work on them.

Pally - Protection
Mage - Frost
Priest - Holy
Druid - Balance
Shaman - Elemental

My last mage I leveled Frost until about 35, then switched to Fire because I wanted more DPS, but I really want to stick with Frost with this guy for whatever reason, and probably start adding talents in the Arcane tree soon. From what I can see, there's not all that many talents in the upper Frost tiers that are really going to benefit me too much. My only problem so far is that I'm running out of mana really quick (I normally have to drink after ever 2 mob groups), but that will probably improve as I get more blues from grinding. Just finished BFD at 21/22 last night...I'll probably run it one more time, then do Stocks and RFK next.

I really think Tremor totem is a necessity for some encounters, Totem of Wrath, Reincarnation, emergency healer, emergency rez, etc. I'm not too concerned with CC and will rarely even use Poly except for the occasional 4-pull in Uldaman, Mara, etc. when the mobs are 2-3 levels higher. Then again, I haven't really played a Warlock much to really appreciate their abilities either.

Warlocks are great damage dealers. I would think you could get some pretty nice synergy going if you had a full Arcane Mage, a Warlock (using Curse of Shadow), and a Shadow Priest. Get a healer, and set the Priest to shift out of Shadow Form if an off healer is needed. Only problem is that the Arcane Mage and Shadow Priest don't "come in to their own" until post 40.

Elemental Shaman is great. He operates on the same level as other casters, and doesn't have to shift otu of Shadowform/Moonkin to toss an emergency heal. Granted, he goes OOM much quicker if he's spamming heals.
