Hello, Im new to this forums. But I have a question does any here use Synergy?
I use it at work and its fantastic. Pretty much just a little open source program that doesn't require any special hardware to dual box. Takes a little bit to setup but im curious if anyone uses it.
Pretty much gets the same effect as it would if you bought the hardware.

I've used Synergy but I have problems when I require mouse movement on graphic apps, such as WoW etc. When trying to click'n'drag to change the view or look behind me the mouse was extremely jerky and unusable. I've been using Multiplicity and I've never looked back.

If you're going the software route, get keyclone.

Otherwise go full hardware. :DSynergy is used for sharing 1 keyboard & mouse accross multiple computers. Whereas Keyclone is used for broadcasting key presses.

The common free software options are:
Synergy
Octopus

The common paid software options are:
Multiplicity
Keyclone

Synergy = spin of death mouse sharing

Octopus = perfectly smooth mouse sharing
