I havent boxed in years and when i came back to DF i was intending on picking it up again considering solo farming and question and such is boring as all get out. I read somewhere that we are now being targeted by blizzard and people are being banned because of this. Is this now just a take the chance to box again and it takes on elitist to get us banned or are there ways around not losing your account. Cause honestly ive had all my accounts since burning crusade and do not want to lose any of them. thanks.

The current wisdom is .... don't look or act like a bot, don't get reported too much and you'll be fine.

The official stance is vague as to what "streamlining" might be and somewhat clear that they don't want you to broadcast

I started playing again after a break since first part of BfA. I'm gonna stick to solo play just because I'm not sure I want to risk anything. I have so many rare and wonderful things on my accounts.

Doesn't seem to matter if you're manually controlling characters or using software/hardware 'assistance.' If it looks like boxing you'll get reported and if you get reported enough times you'll eventually get suspended/banned. Blizzard doesn't seem to care enough to investigate further in my experience. They'll respond once or twice, tell you they consider the matter closed and then stop responding.

Some people manage to fly under the radar for a while by being sneaky but it's only a matter of time. Notice how all the people posting videos in the WoW threads disappear after a month or two -- because they got banned.

Just play another game that wants your business.
