20 Totems, meh. 80? NOW we're talking.

For those of you not following my blog (aka: jerks) I recently decided to expand my little Shaman empire. I had a talented multiboxer approach me about playing on AD. This lead to her creating 5 new shaman and putting them in <Twenty Totems>.

After we took a few screenies, and realizing just how much win you can fit in a screenshot, we talked about the possibility of adding more.

I eventually posted on my blog that I was looking for two more multiboxers, interested in leveling 5 shaman groups. To my surprise, I got a pile of apps, and picked two great players to join us.

Today I posted our first "Family Photos". :)

I'm all over that. While I didn't intend on adding a 5th member, I might for that reason if the other 3 are up to it.

Grull was actually my first thought as well. Believe it or not, I'm thinking about how long 20 Stoneclaws can keep a boss busy. And the twenty elementals is just nuts. But the biggest thing in an all Shaman 25 man would be the same "big thing" from 5 mans.... uber DPS, and lots of it.

I'm getting more and more anxious just thinking about it.

But I'm trying to be realistic too. It will take a few months for them to get to 70, and a few more to even gear up.

Can't wait.

Gruul has 1.2 million HP, with 25 DPS doing 1K each he dies in 48 seconds... if you can stagger the Earth Elementals so that you keep aggro off yourself then you win :)

Personally I'd have 2 groups roll 1 Pally 4 Shaman, gives you 2 tanks and Kings / Salv, easymode :)

Heh, nice, looks like the time toned, stealthy and i got together. At the moment i believe we have 5-6 shaman teams above 60 in The Zerg, 4 of which are at 70. I noticed you're in the Ruin battlegroup as well, you, stealthy, shawk and i should try to que up for av together sometime. Or you could just transfer and we should try to down Gruul together ;)

I've done a few bgs with oathbreaker and zseth, so i'm guessing 15 has been the max... I've been running bgs on the shams with Toned lately, fun as hell seeing waves of alliance drop as they approach 10 fire elementals. Their blast wave hits for about 1000 each... When multiplied by 10... The two of us ended up taking about 20 alliance out a once while we were zerging the aid station.

i thought i heard somebody talkin about me....nice to see my name in a list w00t.

and yea...I had the opportunity to see 40 Chain Lightnings and 40 Lightning Bolts along with 60 totems(less mine). The boss dropped in a matter of seconds. And yea...it was a LIGHT SHOW! That was only 2 5boxers + 1 10boxer.

Surprised anyone else came up with ELO, and here I thought I would have been a sensational hit for coming up with something so original, hehe. I was thinking of making my future team with that name, however I'm not sure it will work well for 1 pally + 4 shaman. That and it's rather difficult to play in an RP fashion which is what I was interested in doing.


On topic: As for the guild name for Boom, I think changing it isn't such a great idea. It's the same as changing a trademark name for Pepsi or Fox. Once you have an established name, why change it? The fact that "20 totems" represented something an individual created as their vision will always be retold when the guild name's history is questioned. The server is probably used to the guild name, you'll have people saying "they're a rip off from 20 totems!" and the like. Not only that but each 5 man team will be played solo in a lot of cases, meaning that it still represents the player's 5 shaman accurately.

In the end this is just an opinion of a backseat driver.
