Arcanist Doan?

I think I'm now starting to feel the suckiness of not having a tank in my group. I love my 5 shaman though, so I'm gonna keep going until they're 70, however... Does anyone have any strategies for 5 shaman to kill Arcanist Doan Scarlet Monastery Library?

I moved my healing totems to the back where he cannot AOE them, however, he keeps silencing my group (which SUCKS), and that Arcane Explosion hurts! -- I thought of spreading them out in the previous room, however, because of the walls/dividers in there, I'm having issues. Any suggestions?

you must have a /cast [target=focustargettarget] lesser healing wave, or some healing macro.
One shaman goes in and attacks to get agro whilst the other are outside the room.
Heal the shaman whos in until there is sufficent agro and then all zerg dps, heal when needed.
You need a healing macro for a few bosses from now on, so start working them out.

I actually do have healing macros, macros to heal themselves, and macros to heal my target. I guess I should setup one to have them all heal me without my having to target myself :)

I don't even know why I didn't think of sending one in to him... I am such a doofus.

its the sorta setup i run for instances, except i use a moonkin to tank all the "partially harder hitting" mobs, like the few in steamvaults and mechanar gate keepers, works well, 4xheal. CL. Shock. 4xheal rinse.

I did him around 34. All I did was stand in the doorway entrance to his room and nuke the hell out of him. When he starts to cast his AE, run out of the room (you should only have to move 10 yds or so) and have everyone heal themself. He should be well below 50% by that point. Once he finishes casting AE, drop a fresh round of grounding totems and finish him off.

I agree, you need a lesser healing wave button per shaman. I use my f1-4, but I have 4 shamans.

I just had one shaman main tank him, start off with a chain lightning, earth shock him for a couple of cooldowns then nuke him, when the mt gets low one lesser healing wave from everybody takes him back up to full. had the other shamans stand outside of the room, when he starts to arcan explosion run out of the room and los it.
