From the 2.4.2 PTR patch notes:

Scare Beast: The range on this spell has been increased to 30 yards and it is now instant cast. LOL...the feral druids are PISSED.

Wow this actually made it to test? The devs must be smoking crack to come up with this one. It would be funny if a hunter chain cc a druid. Fear,trap,scatter, fear, trap.... ect.. 30y range is huge! My warlock cannot fear someone that far away with a cast time.

Omg that's too OP. Speaking as a former hunter.... scare beast is fine as it is... Works vs nub druids, smart ones know to expect it, and shift form/bash whatever, good way to get them to switch though.

LOL...jesus fuck they won't stop buffing Hunters, they're the new fuckin warlocks lol; on the bright side, Boomkins are Considered Humanoid, not Beast, so this doesn't affect me ;) I pity da ferals though

Its already being called Beastcoil. No diminishing returns either. A hunter can now cc a druid forever. I doubt this will make live. Sorta like the shaman mortal strike they put in. It was retarded.

Hunters did not need a dispelling arcane shot. Hunters do not need an instacast long range scare beast. Speaking as a hunter since 2005 with long experience, it is overpowered flavor of the month bullsh and Blizzard need a realitycheck. This is nothing but an arena fix that'll screw up the rest of the game.

Good thing moonkin count as humanoids.

It should be instant - but it shoudl have like a 5 minute cooldown or something.The current version on live has a 30-second cooldown. Rest assured that this one will have something similar eventually.

Scare beast 30yard instant. Scatter shot, Ice trap or frost trap. Scare Beast again. With the timers and number of cc options a hunter can toy with a druid forever. Its really stupid. Scare beast last 10 seconds. Feral druid pvp just got hit hard. As if it didnt already suck balls to begin with. Imagine every bg all those hunters will be scaring you. Plan on running in fear constantly. Most bg's always have a ton of huntards playing.

It surprises me.

My hunter has received loads of buffs in each patch - buffs that in my opinion it really doesn't need.

I was round about 40 when they removed the hunter dead zone.

Dispel on arcane shot - Nice to have but slightly over powered.

It's almost like hunters are getting to the status of rogues, where every patch they get a big treat.

Still - the solution I found long ago is to roll the class that you think is so overpowered and you will generally find there is at least one or two classes, that won't have trouble wiping you out.

The other advantage to that is that at least some of your characters will get enhanced each patch.

Maybe this is a good argument against having 5 of a class - you feel the nerf bat hardest. (but I still want a team of 5 shammys)

They reverted the change btw, so no more drama. Hunters are by no means overpowered imo. They get outdmged in pve, and pvp you really need to know your shit compared to other classes. Hunters are not easy mode, king of the alts, thats for sure, but hardly a lot of people master them.
