View Full Version : Problems passing shift with white list enabled
Hi,
First of all, KeyClone is awesome, thanks for making it. Second, I'm having some problems sending shift commands. I didn't see any way to just pass the shift command by itself, is the only way to send shift is with another key (shift+1, shift+2, etc...)? Also, I've added both left shift and right shift combined with numbers 0-1 to the white list, but it just passes the number without the shift. For example, when I press shift+1, it just passes "1". I'm dual boxing and I'm using the white list function. Let me know if you need any more info, thanks!

I don't remember but Shift+1 thru Shift + 8 or so may be as well. That would be the first place I would look. Go to "Key bindings" in game and make sure that Shift + W/E you're trying to do isn't bound to another binding already.
Actually I already gave that one a shot, thanks though.

Have you tried passing all modifiers for that key and see what happens? (Left shift, right shift, etc.)
I currently work with a blacklist myself, but intending to change to a white list. Would hate to run into modifier trouble. :p

Would hate to run into modifier trouble. :pOk, I just tried unchecking the white list box and using it that way, it worked. I would still like to figure out how to get this working with the white list though. To make it simple, I'll just focus on one combo. I allowed Left shift + 1 and Right shift +1, is there anything else that I need to add? I'm very new to keyclone, so if you can think of some beginner mistakes I might be making feel free to chime in.
It's almost like when I hit Shift + 1 my main client sees it properly and passes it on, but when my slave client sees it it interprets it as just "1", without the shift.

I tried changing over to the White List as opposed to the Black List and I also had the same problem. Keys that easily pass when they are not on the black list will not pass when they are approved on the white list. Don't know what the story is, but I've gone back to the black list for now; although I prefer using the white list as it's easier to just tell the system what you want to pass instead of all the combos you don't want.
What's up Keyclone? Get to work... no more sluffing. :D

Keyclone ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=4284') strange behaviour of keyclone in in dual-machine setup regargind modifier keys ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=4284')
It's an epidemic!
