Hello all,
I am a total newbie to multiboxing, I have lurked here for a while as this practice deeply impresses me but seeing Veronika 5-boxing Magister Terrace in HM this morning... Wow. Now I'm seriously considering 2-boxing for starters with the aim of trying 5-boxing, intending to beat as many aspects of the game as I can.
I have what might be a very stupid question, but as I said, I am a newbie. :) How do you manage death in BGs? Your 5-team works fine until one of your toons dies. It is rezzed at the graveyard, and what then? If you pass along the WASD keys, the dead alt wanders anywhere (possibly away from the spirit guard). Do you have to set the team on follow and wait for all the toons to die to be rezzed? How do you do it?
Please forgive my English, I am not a native speaker. :)
Am very new to dual boxing.
Am runnig 2 x pallies
If one dies I just leave it at the GY and w8 till the other dies.
Or I fight my way back to a GY and pick the other 1 up.
Dunno if there are other options.

Thank you Tish. That's what I thought (since I also read that passing along the WASD keys was very inconvenient). I am under the feeling that would be a pity for 5-boxing since that basically means that 2-3 chars are afk while the "main" team fights or waits to be killed. But I have no experience so I wonder if this is as inconvenient as it seems in the heat of battle. Is the power of 5-boxing enought to tilt the battle in your favor more than having 25-50% of your team "afk" the time to gather everyone?

It really depends what you're doing and where your dead characters end up ressing. Wherever possible, I'll try to ressurect them myself rather than releasing to the spirit healer, but of course that's not always possible.
For example, in AV, if I'm waiting for FW flag to cap but the nearest held GY is SP (as it often is as Alliance!) and I lose one of my team, I just won't release until the GY is capped. Either the GY will get capped, and I'll have my whole team together again anyway, or the battle will be lost and they all release together.
If I'm in WSG, I just wait for the next res cycle and pick them up at the GY.
AB is probably the most frustrating, but the same principles apply. Worst case, I'll just manually "drive" the resser back to the team.
In world PvP it's a non-issue really.
As a boxer in Battlegrounds, I'm always very conscious of not letting any of my characters be dead weight, so I'll always try to reconvene the team as quickly as possible. That sometimes means letting the whole team die (though not in AV, where deaths actually count for something!).

In AV just make sure you have your frost wolf trinket equipped. If your guys get split up, use trinket and you all port to base. Everyones back together :P
wouldn't it just be best to set a cancel macro on the clones to cancel the spirit res and when the fight is over res your wounded :)

Thank you all for your feedback!
I see it's not that simple and something to take into account when BGing. Experience must also play a lot in those situations :)
Sometimes if I get REALLY split up after a rez, I will point a clone in the right direction then turn on their auto walk and try to meet in the middle :)

I once had one of my shamans die near a gy, trying to defend from a massive influx. The ghost accidentally was in range for my follow key and got out of ressurect range. At the same time the flag was capped.
I was royally owned that time. Changed macro's to involve nodead right there and then. :p

this digs into some of the reason I wanted to show all 5 clients on a video. If people saw the headache when certain situations occur like this one. They wouldn't be so quick to start spouting out crap.

Here's what I do in most BG's:
WSG:
Here it is only one graveyard. I usually defen so I am never far away from the GY. Either I run the alt to me, or I'll pick him up. Whatever suits the situation.
AB:
In AB I usually eiter assult bases or I shuttle between bases and defend wherever there is a lot of enemies.
If I attack and lose one:
If it looks like the assault will be successful, I will just let him lie there until I can res him, If we get the base before that is possible, I just draw the fight near the GY and pick him up when he resses.
If I defend and lose one:
I usually just release him, since the GY usually never are far away. Either draw the fight to the GY,or just autorun your follower towards your group while spamming the follow button
Eots:
Usually about the same as in AB.
AV:
Here I either just let everyone die if thing is looking bad, or I will res if possible. If I for some reason get spread out on several graveyards, I use the AV-trinket for porting everyone back to frostwolf keep. This trinket is a very good way to get your group back together if things really goes bad :)
