Hey there,
Was wondering what you guys use for your point and click needs. Also, are there any trackball users out there? If so, what do you gain/benefit from using one instead of your standard wired/wireless optical mouse?

Cheap-ass 5-button optical mouse + Octopus mouse-click broadcasting. Life is good. :D

I used to use a trackball and still like them, Logitech did some nice optical ones but they seem to be less popular these days.
I guess it depends on what you like but I find that the modern mouse has more accessible buttons than a trackball.

Got a logitech mx laser.
Had a logitech mx...900? something for a few years, without ever failing. But then I bought a new comp, figured I would replace the one I had for the at the time follow up. :p It works well for me, I love the handling and the button positions. Real fit in my hand! *nod*
Can't think of any other mouse I rather have.
Also, wireless + rechargable bay is a must for me. :P

I've been using trackballs since the early 90's being in the architectural industry. I've never been able to go to a mouse, its just uncomfortable to me. Of all the trackballs I've used, the MS Optical Trackball Explorer is the best. Here is a link to the product page (http://www.microsoft.com/products/info/product.aspx?view=22&type=ovr&pcid=a9fdd4c0-41da-4045-9d6f-f087c17ffd30 ). It has 4 buttons plus the scroll wheel.
I've tried the Logitech Cordless Optical Trackman, but didn't like the buttons. They aren't like regular mouse buttons. I also don't like the location of the scroll wheel. I prefer to have it usable by my thumb.
