Ok, this is my first 5 box(shamans) and I'm starting to wonder if it's going to feasible to get epic fliers times 5. Has anyone here managed to do this? If so, how long did it take you and what did you farm?

Generally, you can't go wrong farming for most Primals. Primal life seems to sell well (at least on my server). I usually average 150g/hour farming Bog Lords in Zangarmarsh. Since you can loot them then gather herbs on them, you have a high probability of mote drops. I've easily cleared 10 Primal Life's in a hour of farming, plus all the crap loot quickly adds up.

If you're 5 boxing shamans, it may just be easier to just nuke an entire zone, looting everything. Go somewhere like Zangarmarsh or Terrokar where the mobs should be green for a 70 and you can just mow through mobs. Sell when all your bags are full and keep on nuking everything in sight. AH all greens+ and primals, vendor all the crap. The gold will start coming in very quickly.

Too bad most of the daily quests involve gathering stuff :(

I'm thinking that enchanting on one character might be a good idea. Practice farming instances to shard all the greens and blues you get, sell the enchanting material while "running" the auction-house with the aid of Auctioneer and BottomScanner, etc.

but some are grp credit quests..make sure to do those (is all i do on a day to day basis unless Im really bored) gold adds up when you are doing it with 5 chars 2 times a day

I just farm heroic, no rush to get 10 epic flying mounts...have more stuff to prioritize, like getting epic gear for all the toons, which in turn is from crafted items, which in turn is from raising profession skills, which in turn needs transmutes, which in turns needs primals, which in turns...x 10....

10 regular flying mount + 10 epic ground mounts.

I currently have 5 epic flying mounts on my 5 priests and 5 epic Netheray flying mounts on my 5 locks.

It took me approximately one month after hitting 70 on each group to gather the 26k nessisary to get them. I have spent 52k on 10 epic mounts and spent about two months total (not game time) for farming.

I farmed humanoids in Netherstorm at the mana forges....When I worked it out and kept track, I could farm 350 to 400g per hour at Mana forge Banar (sp). I sold everything I could on the ah and did not spend any gold on any gear untill I had the mounts. I also have a banker character that I use to find deals on the ah and buy and sell for profit. It also helps to have an alliance account to buy items that are cheaper on the alliance side and resell them on the horde side, I have made 10s of thousands of gold doing that as well over the years.

The daily quests are great as well. In Skeksis (sp) I can do 2 dailys and get credit on all 5 guys in approximately 15 min... 10 min if things go well, and I walk away with 120g (5x24g) after the 10 to 15 min. In Blades edge I can do the three dailys in about 20 to 25 min and walk away with 180g (5x36g) so in 30 to 40 min its approx 300g every day.

I also disenchant the items that i feel will not sell well on ah and sell the mats.

Hope this helps

From 62-63 stop doing quests and Grind your way to 70, as you have a group this won't be bad XP or anything, then once at 70, go and do all the Quests you skipped, This should net you a fair amount of gold towards Epic Flying Mounts :-)

If you stay out of the Auctionhouse from 60-70 and complete all the available quests (yes, this means some collections) you will end up with enough gold to buy each toon both their flying mounts and training.

To top that off, do the group quests for Ogrila...

Wrangle More Aether Rays! (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=11066)
Banish More Demons (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=11051)
Bomb them Again! (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=11023)
The Relic's Emanation (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=11080)
Fires over Skettis (http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=11008)

Thats 60G a day for what amounts to 30-45 minutes of your time.... if you solo them. All 5 of those including Simon Says (The relics emanation) can be done as a group (You have to play big simon and kill the mini-boss). So 60*5 = 300G a day for well less than an hour's work. While doing ONLY this would take you just over 3 months to get your epics, I think you would be silly to pass up the 300g a day.

Top that off with farming primals and you have your 6 mounts in a very short amount of time.
