On my first character, my solo boxed Tauren Warrior, I desperately wanted a horse mount. I would pug tank UD strat twice a day everyday. It was my favorite and most run instance. I kept doing it well after I hit exalted with AD, well after I was overgeared for it, well after the point where I'd singe handedly wipe groups if I got MCed by the baroness (if I didn't take off half my gear before I pulled her). So imagine how I felt when my THIRD Baron kill on my shammies resulted in a Deathcharger dropping. I had been just running it a few times to collect some Large Brilliant Shards for a friend. Anyways, later in ZG (getting rep for the recipe that you need the Large Brills for) I had the perfect screen shot oppurtunity.

(Shocktwo got that shrinking curse put on her)

It's even lower than that.

There are servers where Baron has been killed well over thousands of times, yet the mount never dropped there. It's a -very- rare item and the droprate is fairly unknown and unmeasurable because of it.

Grats on the mount! Legendary! I did a about a hundred baron runs so far (Quite a few hundreds if you count my entire wow carreer. Oo ), it's a really good source of money, still hoping to see that mount sometime. :p

Now this is really luck! The mount has the lowest drop chance ever I think. Even gathering legendary items is easier than getting your hands on the Baron mount. I've been doing Stratholme runs since June 2005 and still do, and never saw a drop for that.

Want more screenshots! *sobs*

Some more deathchargers for you Shiena :P

I got mine at the 150th run.

Anise got it around 30ish.

Pure luck, nothing else.

BTW GZ on the mount Ryan!

Man I must of run UD strat literally 500 times trying for that mount on my human paladin. IMO that would look so bad ass on a human paladin :) GD IT!!!! X(

Thats amazing man. I look forward to being able to solo instances at my leisure when I finally get to that level. That way if I really want something like this I can just spend all day running it when it would probably otherwise be impossible to find a group, or end up taking forever trying to solo (not sure if anyone can really solo these instances though?).

Very awesome.

Very awesome.I've soloed Strat plenty of times with a prot specced paladin in shockadin gear. Takes a bit long but it's doable. However since I have a bunch of 70's from my prior multiboxing days I should probably make some macros and go chop that place up. It is a terrific place to make some money if you have a disenchanter.

Hell I've actually been considering making 3 priests as I already have 2 paladins on alliance side and make a sort of Holy Crusade against Stratholme! I know RP alert! But it would be fun:) Paladins, at least prior to this game :cursing: , were always my favorite medieval fantasy lore units. With Death or Shadow Knights being a very close second.

I hear ya, Death Knights always hold a special place in my heart. I was also really happy that they went for the warlock and took it more of a "demonic" route then going with the standard necromancer. Demons > Undead imo.
