Hey, just wanted to tell everyone I've had a great time the past week and change doing AB with my five-box group (at the 30-39) level on Cairne [battlegroup unknown? not on blizzard site for some reason]. I run a war/sha/hunter x3, and that certainly has its pro's and con's.
pro's -
War is a tough cookie decked out in prot gear, I either have a relatively easy time doing command and control with him as the main toon, or the other team spends considerable effort burning him down.
Sha looks like a hunter (all orcs, war is tauren), often not targeted right away, as he blends in.
Freezing traps has stopped a lot of would-be rogues and druids from destroying my back line.
Pets are unfair. 3 pets are even more unfair.
cons -
I cannot one shot any decently geared person. The best I can do is sick the pets on them, pop an intimidation, and hope I can down them in 3 or 4 volleys (should be a near guarenteed kill if the stun hits from intimidation). However, this takes time.
Melee is a pain to handle. I guess I need to invest in leveling my hunters melee skills and getting them some big 2-handers.
No way to handle fear yet. This will change later, but at this bracket, fear bombs are painful.
best moment: Joining an AB after a streak of wins (3 or so?) and having no less than five people cheer my entrance, hailing The Zerg.
worst moment: Assaulting Lumber Mill, a priest MC'd my war and ran me off a cliff. I didn't react fast enough and my whole party followed me in lemming-suicide action.
Anyways, this server has been 95% supportive of multiboxing, if anyone is looking to start fresh - Cairne is where it's at. Transfers will open to this server in August. We have about four active boxers right now. Hope to see you out there.
