I'm currently 5boxing on 1 comp, 4 ele shammies and a holy priest

system is a q6600
8800 gtx
4 gigs ram
XP 32 bit

I've leveled 2 sets of toons to 70 now, boxed for a while etc, but 2 things keep bothering me and put me on the verge of never doing BG again.

In bg's, when all the toons die, I use my 'all in one' macro to res aka to go to the GY. This is where it happens. Very often, after this porting to the graveyard (before the spirit resser ressed me) some characters appear to be out of range.

For example:

for toon 1: toon 3 and 4 are out of range
for toon2: all is fine, everyone is in range
for toon 3: toon 1 is out of range
for toon 4: all 4 toons are out of range
for toon 5: all is fine everyone is in range.

This is just an imaginary example, in which I try to show that its not just 1 client bugging that appears to be out of range for all the rest or so.
Anyway, I don't spam at different graveyards or whatever, but some toons just dont 'SEE' other toons. The problem is when i ress, and press my follow focus macro, half the toons dont follow cus the focus( main) is so called not in range, while its actually standing right on top of them. You also can't 'see' the character on the screen itself, its invisible.

This mostly happens in AV for me, but ive had it happen in AB and WSG as well. I'm clueless on this, but the only solution for me seems to relog all my clients and relogging every time you die is just horrible.

A second problem not battleground related, when my pc is on for a while and I get to a busy city, like shatt, its always 1 of the clients that gets stuckups for sometimes over 10 seconds, and an fps of 5 or so. All other 4 clients run smooth like before, but the 5th is just lagging like mad. Is this because of too little ram or so? In task manager I don't seem to be using all RAM so.. I dunno

Any other people experiencing these two annoying things or one of them?

I understand what you are talking about. Durring either releasing to spirit form OR rezzing to corpse, there is some error between the game server and clients where a character appears either dead or Out Of Range (usually stationary at some part of the map) but really that character is right behind you!

If it is an Alt losing track of your main, this spells doom for that Alt in the BG, as it can no longer follow your main or assist your main, because the Alts client thinks your main is dead/elsewhere!

If it is your main losing track of an Alt or and Alt losing track of an Alt, it is merely an annoyance, as the Alt is still following and assisting normally (although you cannot see your Alt's HP on the main's screen usually).

Unfortunately, the only way to remedy this is to immediately log (/camp) with the affected char and then rejoin. This will let you back into the battleground with the affected character, cured of any communication errors.

I will repost an explanation of how to diagnose the affected character when I regain equillibrium and am not longer intoxicated.

I have had this out-of-sync thing happen too, sometimes even when just running around. In some cases, after figuring out which character was the problem, it worked to take them for a long run outside of range and then back to the group, but generally the best way is to just relog everyone to be sure they all see each other :)

and is there no way to avoid this ?

for example, getting more RAM or, not releasing at the same time or lowering graphics settings or something? is it client side or server side erorr? or a mix or so

I have it happening at 50% of the times I res in AV, and thats _really_ annoying

You don't have to /camp, you just need to put enough distance between the out-of-sync characters. If you zoom your minimap out to max and you put enough distance between the characters so they don't see each other on the minimap then move them back together they will be in sync again. I've been doing the dragons in Ogri'la lately due to an abundance of apexis shards and this usually happens to me while fighting the dragons at Bashirs Landing.

This same tactic works for corpses with the out-of-range message when you try and loot.

Not sure why it happens but obviously the client gets out of sync with the server somehow.
