I've read through the FAQ's and stickies but am still coming up with a blank on how to solve two issues that I am having:

Setup: Playing WoW on 2 seperate machines with my low end box being the "slave" and my high end box being the master. I can fire up both games and keyclone and and connect and everything works fine except these 2 things:

How can I set it up so that my slave machine can't pass keystrokes to the master? For example .. I have a additional keyboard and mouse on my slave machine as since he's a miner so sometimes I need to stop and mine but when I use the keyboard on the slave, it passes up to the master and that toon runs around then. What I'm looking for is that the master broadcasts the keystrokes but doesn't recieve any essentially Second, and this is sad ... I know .. but how in the blue blazes do you get both toons to follow one another so they don't end up in different directions? Right now the movement keys are set up the same on both machines and I have a macro that makes the slaved toon follow the master toon .. but like in the game as soon as I hit a movement key it breaks the follow ... And suggestions on this would be very helpful.Hopefully someone can help this poor scrub out.

1) think the answer is in the Black list function, or rather id try the white list first.

2)Use the /follow macro and then refer to step 1 conserning the breaking follow (AKA put WASD on the black list)

howdy nusse and welcome to the forums!

1. i believe you can set the master keyclone to 'send only'
CHECK keyclone/ setup/ general/ send-only

2. skuggo got this one. /follow and put your movement keys on the DNP (do-not-pass)

if you have any other questions, please feel free to drop me a note.

Thanks all for the replies .. just prior to coming back this second time I found the "send only" option ... that should solve my problem for that. And I have added the /follow command to the movment keys (basically just remapped them to a macro) ... seems to be working fine so far.

Thanks again ....

This is a fantastic product .... me and a group of 3 other friends always struggled to get a "good" person to come pug with us ... thanks to this product now and a second account we now can have anyone we need play or fill a roll ... and not have to worry about pugs!

I do not like to put keys on the do not pass list if I can help it. I just change my alt keybindings to be shift+wasd. That way you can still move your alt if you want, but when you put him on follow, you have freedom of movement with your main.

I was also hoping to be able to use the keys to control all of my characters too because on follow I often end up leaving characters behind. I suspect it is lag but for some reason they just can't keep up and similarly when I set up to start casting on enemy mobs I have to stop and stand there longer than I'd like so the others catch up and stop moving. I'm only running 3 on my comp but I expect I'll need to upgrade my ram or something (running at 1gb). Does anyone else have the same problems?

howdy lessthanjeff ('http://www.dual-boxing.com/forums/index.php?page=User&userID=5762') and welcome to the forums!

1G for 3 wows? yea... more memory is probably needed. it may also cause increased latency.

if you are using keyclone, make sure to set your maxfpsbk and maxfps in the command editor. setting the maxfpsbk to 10 or 15 helps save cpu/gpu ... giving you more power for your active client. along the same lines as restricting your maxfps to 40 or so. think of it as pushing pixels to the screen... the more frames per second, the more pixels to render and push. this eats cpu/gpu

Awesome, thanks for the advice and the welcome. I'll be sure to change those settings before getting back on later tonight then. I may go ahead and upgrade my computer anyways when that bonus tax return goes through but hopefully that'll smooth things out for now.
