Anyone in the beta? Anyone get into the beta pvp weekend? Anyone have any info on the possibility of multiboxing in this game? :)

Ok Now that the NDA is down I can talk about it.
Game is awesome imo. After beta testing WAR I was very worried about AoC but they have gone in a different direction than other games. Its not a wow clone. While there may be some similarities... it feels completely different from any other MMO I have played. The combat is incredibly fast pased, the team combat works incredibly well, and over all its be extremely enjoyable.
As for multiboxing... Considering there is no autoattack, and no /follow... going to go ahead and say its a no go. Add onto that the EXTREME graphics requirements and the sheer amount of button mashing required.
If you have questions please feel free to ask

No.... follow?
Sigh.
1. Tell me about Demonologists and Necromancers.
2. Are caster classes about equivalent to melee classes in PvP?
3. How exactly does spell-weaving work?
4. Is my dual core 4800+/4 gigs of ram/geforce 7800gtoc gonna be able to handle graphics at decent levels?

Melees atm seem to be supreme.
Casters can do well, but they have to be smart. Demo's get a wicked root... root and then nuke till dead. Necros have swarms of pets that are lethal. Casting with three necro pets on you is damn near impossible.
The main thing about casters is planning ahead. Your spells are on semi long casting times (think x2 wow) so you have to plan 2 moves ahead.
Spellweaving isnt in beta and wont be till launch, its one of their secrets.
Your system should be fine, you might not be able to run it on max, but you will be able to run it. Its hard to judge performance at this point mainly due to it being beta, and 100's of people standing around you. I dont get any performance issues in the actual arenas.

How do the necro and demo pets compare to PC's as far as damage and tankability go? Are they weaker than mobs? As tough as "elite" mobs?

Their health is equivalent on the smaller ones to a player / caster. The larger pets are equivalent to maybe 2 players.
Their DPS seems rather lack luster atm... like autoattacking pcs (50's instead of 250's) but... considering someone only has 400hp... your not going to ignore them.

So it sounds like KEYCLONE will be useless with this game.
:( very sad as I love farming in dual-boxing mode, it means I can have a little fun while doing the boring crap.
I am getting tired of WoW tho, so now I dont know what to do.

If I'm not mistaken the NDA is still in place for the general beta testers. The NDA that was lifted was in respect to the PVP weekend beta players.

Yeah, I'm going to buy the pre-order, and I hope it's the replacement I've been waiting for to get rid of DAoC. If it can't be boxed, then I'm not sure what I'm going to do with my 5 other computers......

I recommend gogamer.com they take 5 bucks off the price so the $5 early access is basically included.
