Ok i'm looking at buying one of these 2 monitors for my sons computer... any suggestions for which one would be better...

but I don't think a 14yo needs that.. much less i'm not willing to pay that much... :D

try newegg or even microcenter (best computer store IMO)

microcenter might not have a store that is near your location though :(
i'm willing to take a trip for some good quality merchandise though :)

+1 to the Newegg suggestion. Their selection is enormous, user reviews for all items, fast shipping, reasonable prices and excellent return policy. Can't go wrong with them.

Newegg and Tigerdirect are both great resources for PC parts. I used to shop exclusively at Newegg but I just built a new PC from scratch and every part was cheaper from Tiger.

I love newegg, but for monitors, do not buy from there... their return policy on monitors suck.

That's the monitor I've been looking at... rated best for gaming by anandtech.com
