Race depends on what you want to do.

Having 1 tauren would be nice, for the war stomp. Also, if you only intend to PvE troll might be better than orc.

Hmm it's just a normal .avi like all my other movies. Try downloading the latest codecs. I personally use VLC or Windows Media Player.

may i ask, i noticed you used focus to identify targets of the opposing team? how then do u attack? with assist main? if so what happens when your main dies? just curious as to how you setup your lightning macros etc if you don't use focus

i have read your wiki post on choosing healer and wondered if you have ever had a druid healing instead of a pally?

Yeah, he used a druid for a while. And if his main dies I think its pretty much over anyway, but he prolly has his change leader macro set up to use the partyleader instead of focus for assisting.

What do you do vs AoE teams Ellay? I know it's just cuz I am 1300 and getting the random teams that get rolled by the real teams, but still.... I recently faced this 2x frost mage (with fucking imp blizzard..... really....) a UA warlock with insta fear, and a priest and pally.... Needless to say the AoE recked me.

Are the spots you showed the only ones you use?

While a mage is channeling blizzard, he is not moving, not iceblocking and not blinking around like an idiot. perfect time to wtfpwn him with some chain lightning =) he may do a couple thousand dmg to your team each, but you'll kill him.

I'd try to get + shock distance bonus like on most pvp gloves. 4x earth shock should make them back off.

If 3 of them are ranged AOEing you I'm not sure how you would go about earth shocking other than round robining the earth shock and targeting 1x1. It would be nice to have a macro that would round robin focuses for each shaman. Then you could click each target and shock once. It could even be used for chain heals and chain lightning to get max efficiency.

You would have to set focus with (Shift Click= set toon1 focus) (ctrl Click= set toon2 focus) (alt Click= set toon3 focus) (ctrl + alt Click= set toon4 focus)
Then have (Modifier+normal earth shock key = earth shock focus target)

I must say I watched your youtube video for www.dual-boxing.com and loved how you just dropped people. I loved enough like most of the people on the forums to level a multiboxing team to 70, Shaman of course.

It took some time gearing up and even more time on how to use all the tools in arena play. After watching this video "Arena Training Video" I switched from 41/0/20 to 40/0/21. You talk in your video about putting down their DPS first and "softening" the target. Seeing this in action made was priceless. In the Youtube.com video it just looked like RAW power, but its actually very precise and calculated. Its not as easy as dropping 3 CLs and saying gg.

Several of your forum posts talk about it and I've heard others mention it, but after watching the video 5-6 times it all made sense. The light bulb turned ON. Take out DPS and watch the rest of the team heal themselves to DEATH!

I decided to help some guildies out in the arena and they are far from geared, S1 rogue and a priest with some blues and some S1 pieces. Using your stratedgy last night I took the team from 1487 to 1702. I would save my instant Nuke for that "Perfect" opportunity...dropping two dps against groups with three healers = gg real fast :D. One of my teammates DC'd so the fun had to stop at 1702. The dissappointing part was we were blowing up teams in the late 1600s for +15 points.

Tonight Ill get my points with my real team...Season 3 weapons are in my future :)

Thanks for the great video and your walk through was nothing less than EXCELLENT! Before you video I achieved only a 1680 score, after your tutoring session in this video +2K is easily in my grasp. Cheers mate!

Where's the continuation at Ellay?? :) Thanks for posting this though, its quite helpful. I have a question about how you handle the Nagrand arena though against caster teams. I was getting hit from both sides (I actually got AOE'ed to death my 2 mages and a druid with improved blizzard) and was unable to hold LOS staying near my own pillar. Do you move back away from your pillar and allow them to LOS you only with the one directly in front of you? I hate this freaking map!

I hope your upcoming training videos will include some more footage of arenas teams moving through your characters and just being plain annoying so I can see how you handle it. I am currently multiboxing four shamans for PvP on BG9 and players who move in and out of my characters are giving me a lot of trouble with facing. It's easy when my opponents try to mess up facing with my main as I use my mouse to turn quickly but it becomes a real problem when they keep moving through my followers. I keep losing a lot of casts from my followers due to facing not being fast enough. There's definitely some lag going on from my opponents making it hard to gouge where they are exactly when they are moving erratically through my toons. I see from your video that you have your followers standing still -- it works sometimes and other times it doesn't work.

Ellay, in your movies it seems that the teams do not lign of sight you at all when they are about to get nuked.
Why is this? I would love some clips where you fight teams that do and that are geared, most people seem to have honor set gear on them or s2, are the clips you show at low rating maybe?

Id like to see how you handle the warrior fear charge.

Everytime I get a warrior, he almost ALWAYS fear charges and then runs behind me and weaves so quickly, I have independant turn control but its speed is limited and I usually end up getting screwed up from it. His fear usually separates my guys a bit, and then they are all facing the wrong way when I re follow them. if they are on my main hes usually stunlocked and its hard to reposition my guys. i find that a pain in the ass.

id like to see less of you pwning face and more of you struggling with a great explanation on whats going on and how you lost / won.

I'm hoping to learn something to use against LoS because frankly.. That is the only thing killing me.

I've won games against full brutal players (including shoulders and weapons.. gash warriors hurt? :/), rogue with dual warglaives along with it, etc, the whole deal, but then I loose 30-60 minute matches against lowered geared teams that LoS the shit out of me. Most of the times theres some hunter involved that keeps outranging me, multi-shotting, killing totems 1 by 1, without me being able to reach him. I've won the first game against some team like that today.

Hunter, mage, priest, paladin, ele shammy if i remember right. Won the first, lost the next 6, and each one of those was at least 20 minutes, 1 was over an hour. What to do against LoS? They simply don't charge.. EVER?!?

update: seen it now, unforunately again a 'chargeteam where the warrior was easy to pick off as he just charged in, and the hunter just stood there like a tard, instead of los'ing every shot behind the pillar.

extra note: with LoS abuse I don't mean the healers standing a bit further so i can't reach them and they can just fully heal, etc, I wouldn't even care. Today I had 2 teams that got me CASTING on them for 30 minutes straight, maybe getting 10 lightning bolts off in total. Hunter pops behind a pullar, does multi+arcane, goes behind pillar again (cant get a cast off in that time), then mage pops behind another pillar, ice lances some totems, sheeps a target, ele shammy pops up on tomb, hunter on the right again, both pop 1 spell and get back up.

Fair enough, you might say, this can't be killing me, indeed, it can't, but I'm not killing them either. The longest I've waited against one of these teams was an hour, and they still did not move an inch. Their hunter was having some fun with his pet in-eyes jumping around me, me killing it, he resses it, hence repeat...

lost 3-7 today, stopped after 10 games because of pure frustration, I just can't take it anymore :|

What i do is, get NS and EM ready, jump in action, and nuke the shit out of them, kill one and go all the way back. u must kill one of them, and then retreat. show them whos the boss :P, wait 3 minutes, get the bomb ready, and kill another one.

last time i did that was in BEM, middle bridge. they had 2 mages, one of them in brutal gear, and they were abusing pillar LOS. I abused my CD's :P every 3 minutes i will kill someone, and their starting to learn it :)

That's the problem, I can't even do my EM/NS/CL + Shocks because as soon as I get in shock range they are already LoS'ing me and hiding, untill i move back.

edit: reason i move back is, they keep doing 'annoying' stuff, like icelancing, fireblasting, or even some aoe to retreat 1 second later, GCD is too long to get both my insta chain + Shocks off. And even if I would get those off, theyre often not enough when ur opponent has full vengeful and some brutal, with hots and maybe a shield/earth shield applied just before i'd nuke

Get in a position that forces them to be at least 5-10 yard away from their LoS object, make sure your in ghost wolf form as it is non aggressive compared to being mounted and gives you that extra oomph of 40% run speed.

For example on the Blade's Edge arena I stand on the bridge (prety much like you do in your video), but the teams I met today either stood at their side, at the poles, and as soon as i came close enough, to walk 'around' their pillars to be in los from themp, they jumped down the bridge and used the pillars there, which are prety much exactly like the pillars in Nagrand arena, big and fat. Results in 2 things:

- you can't just 'chase' them about and use ur EM/NS/CL + shock because most likely only your main will get in range, as your alts are on follow and will be a couple of feet behind you
- they got their whole team 'annoying' you with frost nova, possible rogue poisons, hamstrings, to slow u down, which makes u have to stop to stay together, or u move on, but loose an alt or 2 that is slowed, which also results in not enough burst to use anything.
I didn't know what to do at that point, so I grouped up nicely at that pillar, just put all my totems again, but then they did the exact same thing... 'annoy' me with los, a rank 1 frostbolt or an icelance, a multi-shot, an arcane shot, and going back behind their part of the pillar before being able to get anything off. Results in either choking it up and let them annoy you, which isnt really a problem, my healer can keep up with it, but they are slowly draining my healers mana that way while they are not taking any damage whatsoever.

2nd option is to run somewhere else, but once again, they don't charge, and I can just keep waiting forever for them to come.


I can blame myself for not being patient, but after losing a 60 minute game, I rather loose than sit there another 60 minutes, that's just unbearable.

these people make me wanna /wrists.

I have won a couple of these by pre-heroisming and waiting until a war or someone gets close, then frostshocking on my main and then LB > I WIN > Earth Shock you "should" be in range with your wolf form to frost then do all that and get him down. then just plant yourself on that corpse and wait till you can repeat, and keep water shield up so you always have enough mana. dont let your healer heal you, heal yourself since you have an unlimited supply of mana if they are only poking you once in a while.

its annoying, and I want to /strangle all these moronic boring uninteresting teams who cant do anything against us and so decide to just wait. thats the game =/

Don't chase after them on the floor, if they decide to hide and aren't even taking the bait, run back to the top where the sweet spot is and just sit there :P
