Hey everybody!

I'm an avid Warcraft player. I've been dual boxing with 2 accounts and 2 PCs, using Synergy.

I'm going to be purchasing a new computer, most likely a laptop.

Once I become "portable" with my laptop, I'll be playing 2 accounts on that one machine.

What are the minimum computer specs I need to run 2 Warcrafts on 1 machine smoothly?

I know a guy who runs 2 accounts on one machine and he just runs WoW in windows mode then Alt Tabs between the windows. Is that the best method for 2 accounts?

If not what programs would benefit me?

running 2 wows would require at least 1G of memory and 1.5G would be better.

if you want to use a laptop, your graphics memory MUST NOT be shared... it must be dedicated. shared would mean you are using system memory for graphics, and the results are being shipped across the system bus... which just sucks for games (period)

and these days you could also get a dual core...

so, if you want a good multibox capable laptop, i would suggest 1.5G or more (3.5G optimal on xp), a 2.2GHz dual core intel (if you can) and the best nvidea card you can get (usually built in, so good luck). and the (dedicated) graphics memory should be about 256M+ (512M better)

if you got that box... odds are you could 3 or 4 box on it. on, and forget about length of time on the battery charge.. this config running 2 or 3 wows would most likely drain it in minutes. just carry around the brick in the laptop bag.

i would also recommend one of the logitech vx nano wireless mice... mostly because of the little usb nub... just perfect for laptops (no worries about removing it or snapping it off)
