It has some. Just after some opinions/suggestions/critique etc. This team is purely for PvE. Pally tanking with Sanctity Aura to boost priest dps and four smite priests using PI and healing when need be. What could possibly go wrong? :P
Quickly chucked together a few specs just to get a general idea.
Priest Spec. http://www.wowdb.com/talent.aspx?id=5#:::efef2defe2fe4fef5edfefdcfefe4f 4ef23
Pally Spec. http://www.wowdb.com/talent.aspx?id=2#f20efede2fe4f2ef3edf2ef2e3f5e2de2 fef5
I'm also contemplating sticking in a BOOMkin for the added 5% crit as smite priests get a lot of DPS off surge of light.

Fine then I'll talk to myself :(
So Tasty do you think it would be more beneficial to swap out the pally for a boomkin in order to get the 5% crit?
Well thats a good question sir but if you have the druid in boomkin form who on earth is going to be tanking?
Oh well thats a good point. The real question is would having 5% crit on three priests be worth replacing one priest with a boomkin?
Who knows maybe we should try it some time. At any rate its been good talking to you.
Back atcha :)

Have you considered using a shaman instead of a druid. You would still lose a priest but then the remaining three would have +3%crit and +101 spell damage and then you have to think about the heroism :D
Hmm you have a valid point. Don't spose you know if Heroism stacks with PI?
Unfortunately I think it no longer does seeing as they changed PI to haste but still you could use one after the other couldn't you?
Darn tootin you could

Sorry to keep pesterin you but you said you wanted to discuss so I figure we mays well. On the synergy/buff side its actually pretty good with the sham/pally/priests. You get the fort/spirit/bok and the totems. Theres no mage so no AI which is sad but I'm sure you will live as disc priests generally have a huge mana pool. Anyway if you try it out let me know how it goes.
Yeah its cool, discussion is why I posted. You are right about the AI but eventually if need be I can grab food off one of my mages before I head out to do stuff. Anyway thanks for your input :)
NP's, catcha round.

Protip: You are missing one thing
Oh? And what, pray tell is that?
CC...
Hmm you're right. All I have really is MC and if all three priests are MCing mobs theres only the shaman to dps and heal :O. Hmm guess if I try hard enough it should be doable without CC
Yeah I'm sure you'll be fine

Lol, poor Tasty, you're so abandoned.
Personally though, I think shadow would be the better route, even with having a pally in the group. To go down to sanc aura though you are sacrificing avenger shield. While I don't know how *needed* it is, I certainly like the spell quite a bit and wouldn't want to give it up. 4 Shadow priests = healz and mana return while doing DPS. Not sure if it would be enough to keep a tank up for too long though, maybe in normal dungeons?

Hmm maybe I should just go with 4 priests/Shaman. That way I can just mix and match groups as I see fit in the higher levels. The only reason I suggested Holy is cause I don't particularly like shadow, just like I prefer arcane > fire on mages. Smite spam is fun :P

Not saying it wouldn't work, just saying shadow does have its advantages over just the style of play it is. However, Holy does have the advantage of not having to worry about switching out of shadow form to drop some big heals.

And after all this discussion I have decided I'd rather just carry on leveling my 5 rogue team lol :P

1 prot/ret pally + 4 disc/holy-nuke priests is certanly viable for pve. With my team I have cleared several instances with my group. I think my record for clearing botanica is about 35-40 mins or so. I have not done very much heroics, but I have cleared Mechanaar together with another healer and it is quite possible.

how about holy( to Holy guidance) /ret (till sanctity aura) paladin + 4 disc/holy dps priests?
check out this smite dps priest.

I have 2 70 alliance paladins already and I will eventually level up some priests as well. I was considering trying out a 1x prot pally, 3x holy nuke priests, 1x shockadin.
JoW + JoCru = Good mana regen + Holy Dmg booster
BoW + BoK = Mana Regen + Stat Booster
Ret aura + Sanct Aura = Unbelievable prot pally aggro + another great holy dps booster
Holy Aoe all around + 3 AoE heals at the same time for AoE pulls.
PW Shield/Renew Rotation for on the run healing.
Shockadin (40/0/20) is easily a great healing spec allowing great single target healing along with decent burst Holy dmg to assist priests.
Almost No holy resistance in game.
Undead/Demons would be an absolute joke.
All rezzer/healers/ 2 DI's
Probably a few other things but I think those are definitely some great possiblities. Perhaps wouldn't be the absolute most ideal group? But certainly fun imo. For sure a blast against undead/demons :D
i posted something like this a while back and i quite like the idea.
4 mending preyers bouncing around would heal you guys more than enough i would think, having a shaman with wrath of air and totem of wrath and having a druid with moonkin aura and Gotw is a bit of a personal preference there both pretty similar in benifates.
