Hey everyone,

Not a lot of activity on this site anymore, but for those still boxing, I thought I would post an update. I've got 20 70s now, so 4 teams if needed. I have a few of everything and have done all heroics with all combinations to get badges.

Still not using any software or hardware assistance and doing everything manually. Just rolling over each screen, pressing the buttons needed and that's it. In a way, this works out better in some cases since you can cast what you want for each character as you roll over it. Definitely not easier than before. You do get used to it, and now after a couple of months it doesn't feel too different. Only pain is when you have fire to get out of. Having to manually move everyone is a nightmare when we used to be able to just strafe the whole group or spread them out all at once. Getting feared and manually turning them all around makes you want to cry.

1. Been running Direbrew to get all the trinkets. I got lucky on drops and everyone has their trinkets plus the pet ones now. Just need one more dagger for the rogue to dual wield them. Still working on mounts.

2. Shamans out dps all other teams by far and are the easiest to play. Laying all 4 totems across 4 Shamans manually for each fight gets old. I can get Mages, Hunters, Locks to burst to 1.2k to 1.5k with heroism on fights. The Shamans however are above 2K now. They are so simple to play with a one button macro and just destroy everything.

3. The last team I leveled (just hit 70 on them a few hours ago) I ran out in the open more to do quests. Dungeons are getting old. I still try to run them all around separately when other people are there. Had a few people make comments, but overall, nothing major. I'm sure people reported that team some.

4. Pally tank far and away the easiest to play and makes everything much less aggravating. They can hold numerous mobs and with a little gear can take a decent beating. Starting to have minor threat problems with the groups as they are doing more and more damage as I get gear.

Once you get used to manually boxing teams, it is really fun still. Far and away still better than anything else out there. I tried FF. Just feels clunky to me, movement isn't as smooth and just not as fun for me personally.

Anyway, I hope others are still boxing WoW. Direbrew has been a blast and now that I have remotes on multiple characters it is really fun to run to try and get mounts each day. Takes anout 15 minutes to run 5 characters though the quest. Can't wait for Headless Horseman now that everyone is 70 and leveled.

I have to start filming more runs. I'll do some captures with the Shamans to show how they tear through everything. I haven't tried 5 Shamans in heroics yet. I'll try that later.

It seems like multiple people have started speaking up about their teams very recently in a couple of other threads so the forums seem to be on an upward trend. Obviously no where near the heyday & would have been much greater had Blizz not done what they did but at least activity has picked up recently.

Thanks for the info! Definitely glad you're keeping us updated - congrats on the teams!

I JUST got back into multiboxing after doing some reading last weekend. I'm currently running Pa,Sha,M,Lock,Pr - it's a lot to manage but I like the diversity. I am concerned end game dungeons (heroics) are going to be a huge challenge with all the abilities to manage. They are only level 20 though so that's a ways away lol.

I'm using the same method you listed; No Hardware/Software - just resized windows, mouse-overs and macros. I mostly stay away from playing in the open with all 5 characters. I tend to break them into smaller 2 person groups when I have to run around, might sound paranoid but I just haven't seen enough info/data to make me comfortable with public-play.

Please keep us updated! I'm still here and read the forums several times a week for new info. I love hunting Youtube for newer content to watch while I play - If anyone has any and wants to link it, I'd love to watch it!

Cheers!

Trying to work out how I'm going to manage the healing/binds etc.

Got attuneman down to under 50k before wiping. Mana is a big issue.

I think imma switch the priest to shadow, and one of the Shamans to Resto. Something like.

Group 1
Prot Pally
Ele Shaman(will off heal if necc)
Resto Shaman
Shadow Priest

Group 2
Ele Shaman
Ele Shaman
Mage
