Looking for a little advice on a 4dps+1heal 5box

I am currentlly running a 2 lock setup and a warrior+priest setup independantly and am interested to try a 5box (single pc). I am looking into either pally+4 shaman or priest+4lock setup. I know that a few of the guys in the forums run similar teams and I am interested to know what they consider their "main" I am thinking I would run my main window as the healer with the 4 nukers in tow and basically healbot with the mouse and use keybindings for nukers.

does that sound about right? any advice?

it can work well like that but be aware of the limitations. Your healer will be the group leader and therefore running ahead of the group. This means it's your healer who is likely to pull aggro - not a great situation :( and a point in favour of a pally. I've not tried the priest+4lock method so can't comment on that, but my plan is to have a pally tank out in front of the 4 shamans so he attracts the mob and the shamans can heal him if needed.

I have all my paladin keys unbound so i can mouse click on what i want him to do, while the shammies are all controlled using keynindings.

I thought of that being the good point for the pally/shaman team.

for priest/lock, the reason for the team buildup is mobility. spec heavy affliction for 3 solid instant cast dots, 5 instant aoe fears, instant renew and prom at later levels. the advantage the lock team has for me is I have a few 70 locks and a 70 priest that I raid(ed) with. I know that I can solo quite a few outlands instances with a shadoweave set/quest/non heroic geared lock. so with 4 of them I would be stylin.

The pally/shaman team is nowhere near as mobile as the lock/priest but then again... mail and plate dont neccessarily need to be as mobile. I considered doing a 5 druid team, but I know that soon after getting moonkin form I would get nothign accomplished because I would end up with coreographed dance routines, the whole time on the verge of wetting myself from laughter. of the almost 2 years of playing WoW a dancing moonkin or tree is still funny enough to bring me to tears from laughing at it.



On a side note: is there anyway to do a distance aoe spell like blizzard/rain of fire other than focusing individual windows? tankadin, holy priest and 3xmage/lock team would be prime aoe grinding sessions. I ask becuause i havent tried it yet.
