I finally d/l'd everything and read over the guide probably 5 + times.
Everything was explained well in the guide.
The only major problem i am having is about macros and the mouse over thing in keyclone.
I am only doing two accounts since i am new at this.
The problem i am having is, my second shaman is not doing anything.
Also the macros aren't really doing anything either, not sure if i am supposed to press a certain button to activate them or not.
Only one that works so far is the /follow main. =(
I have a multi-boxer on my server, don't know his name but i have seen him around so i know how it is supposed to look. The same movements and /cast spells etc. Mine looks like 2 individual players just with the similar name lol.
Please help with any suggestions. =P

Hi and welcome to multiboxing :)
First off macros - at low levels and while you are exploring what to do you only need 1 macro :)
/tar main
/follow
/assist
A fight for me goes like this :- main targets mob, press 1 (activates macro and other shaman targets mob), press 2 (all shamands lightning bolt), press 3( all shamans shock) mob is dead :D
this will do most of your initial encounters and you will refine it as time goes on. using focus or target of target macros. you may want one that just targets the main if your second shaman is the designated healer.
Second thing you need is something like autohotkey or keyclone that will send key presses to both screens at once. have this in place you are good to go :) There's lot more to learn and things to improve the job but this is enough to start.

Thank you! =)
Secondly, I am not getting the hang of the maximizer. I read something about 0,0,0,0 top left corner, but it got me confused.
Another problem is when i enter in numbers and scroll down to press apply, the mouse auto moves the box and ruins it.
Anyone have a good suggestion with just two boxes. :pinch:
Half and half, but it distorts the game and looks weird.

I had lots of fun trying to manually setup maximiser until I started using keyclone. I confess I just put in numbers and looked to see what happened :)
For 2 windows it depends on your setup, if you have 2 windows on one reasonable size screen I'd actually recommend not bothering with maximiser, open up two windows get them to a comfortable size and have them overlapping so by clicking on a window you bring it to the front. has the disadvantage of not being able to see what is going on in both windows but does mean you can be comfortable with the window you can see. if you have a large screen then go fancy :)
If you want to use maximiser then keyclone does it brilliantly. you can drag boxes to the size you want in the setup window. the biggest problem i had with keyclone is getting the mouse to let go of the box when i resize it :) but clicking enough times worked. you will also see a box showing the dimensions of the window box so you can fine tune your numbers there. Keyclone does a good guide and explains things way better than i could :) Keyclone also does a good job of adjusting the picture resolution to the box size you want so the game won't look too weird :)
Hope that helps

btw, in the upcoming release, v1.8g, the maximizer editor got some love... so it works a bit smoother now.
last night i think i resolved the focus-follows-mouse / mouse-spasm-jumpy bug... so i will be moving on to other issues before pushing v1.8g
keep an eye open for the release

Woot! Almost a month since last release. It's crazy to think of all the features that have emerged in Keyclone since the days when there was releases every few days :) Keep up the good work Rob.

Yes, make sure it's optional :p I LIKE my old version thank you, every time I upgrade something that ain't broken it either ruins a part I DID like or simply adds new features that I, personally, don't need yet. (Though I do appreciate your constant updating and additions rob ;p)

keep an eye open for the releaseOk thanks! Yea the mouse thing kept messing up my squares. It is ok, i got a suitable playing grid now.
BTW, Does boxing level faster than leveling 1 character hardcore or about the same?
I have heard two stories, so just trying to see =P.

Afraid to say that boxing will, in general, mean levelling slower than a single hardcore. How much slower depends on the dedication and skill (and how many boosts you can get). You will level 2 chars faster when boxed than if you levelled 2 seperately. If you get lots of boosts then having more chars in the instance can help, handing in quests there is no difference, the big thing slowing you down is killing mobs out and about will get you a lot less xp. and collection quests take forever :P
I think multi-boxing will tend to level slower than a solo character (on my warrior/lock team I was at about 10k less xp/hour than solo at 35), but you'll level 2 multibox toons faster than two solo toons (in actual time spent at the keyboard).
With multiboxing xp gets reduced for being in a group (and if there's only two toons there's no or minimal group bonus).

Ok thank you!
Yea i think i started to notice. Time played to level 10-11 is usually around 3 hours normally. Same time /played on both characters, but I am only level 8, close to 9. Agreed, I noticed the collection quests are the worst for boxing. I imagine it is going to get worse since at higher leveler the drop rate for some quests is pretty low.
Any know the reason why one of my characters auto runs by it self sometimes? I have W,A,S,D on the no pass over code. Just a little confused on that.
@ KEL : Is boxing 2 mages pretty fun?

with runaways, this is usually down to hitting a modifier key while holding down a move key.
If I remember correctly WASD can be blocked but shift-WASD will get through... if nothing is bound to shift-WASD then WoW will treat them as if WASD had been pressed. With run aways it may be down to key release in an incorrect manner, it is certainly a problem for the AHK guys... W down presses w down and w up releases it but if w is down and shift-w is released, the w key gets no release signal :o. might be the same in KC
I get run aways when I try and use shift with movement :( (even shift-down causes them to run off forwards :( it wipes me a lot ;(

Runaways are a weird phenomenon. The only time I ever get runaways is if I'm running, I stop, hit my spread macro, and then hit my totem macro too fast. Its the weirdest thing.
