Alright, I have been reading the guides, and set everyting up as best as I could, I am having no luck with Keyclone, so I figured I would ask for help.

First, do I have to have WoW installed on 2 seperate folders if I am going to play 2 accounts on the same computer? and If so, do I have to install the game again, or can I just copy WoW and all of its contents to a second folder IE wow2...

Is there no temporary or trial version to see if it even works before I buy it?

What is a hotstring? I tried mapping keybinds and I would for instance use the 5 key as a key map and it asked for the hotstring. No idea what that is, but what I was trying to do, was activate the macro on my other account on the hotkey 5 which happens to be my /follow macro.

Are there any alternatives to Keyclone maybe ones that are less capable. My methods are simple, I want to dual box WoW with 2 lowbies and have them run around and kill things.

Any help would be appreciated.

You don't need 2 WoW's, however you do need 2 accounts. Log on to your account on worldofwarcraft.com and send yourself a friend invite for a 10 day trial (so you can try things out).

As far as keyclone, no there is no trial... thats just how it is. There are free solutions out there like AHK, that take a little more self "programming" of the scripts. Check out the software forum.

Though I'm very new to multiboxing myself, I tend to think if you're going to spend the dough (and you can't avoid doing that in multiboxing) you might as well do it properly.

While there may be other alternatives to recommend, so far, I've been very happy with Keyclone.

I'm not sure about the hotstrings thing (@ work not home @ the moment), but as for WoW, opinion seems to be divided on whether you get better performance by just copying WoW into another folder and using 1 copy per account, or running all accounts on one installed copy. Personally, I've made 5 wow folders (the last 4 just being copies of the first one).
