[WoW] PvP Season 2 gear cost question

I haven't done PvP since pre TBC and even then it was only in WSG with a level 29 (twinkish) so my ignorance in this area is stunning.

From what I can tell the 5 piece Season 2 gear costs 5542 arena points. If I did my own 5 man and held a 1500 rating that would net me 344 points/week and thus getting all 5 pieces would take me 16 weeks? Is my calculation correct? On one hand it seems like a LOT of time but on the other hand it is true wellfare with almost no actual wins so meh... Speaking of which, if a team doesn't win at all, 0-100 say, how low can that rating drop? I ask not because I'm going to do the AFK thing but just because I'm so incredibly horrible at PvP and gear going in will be pathetic. So why am I even bothering? The shaman PvP gear looks HAWT and has decent stats :) Yes, I'm a clothes whore.

I was also thinking of taking the Ellay tack and just leaving my pally out since I understand Prot is ~ worthless in Arena anyhow and I don't care for the gear on my pally.

Answered one of my own questions by checking out guildies on the armory. Looks like you've got to keep a 50/50 ratio to stay at 1500 and a 0/100 would get you down around 1200 which means roughly 25 weeks... Starting to lose the little interest I had...

Make a new team once in a while to reset your rating.

Hi Elo,

Once season 4 starts, season 2 gear will be available for honor so I'd recommend combining your plan to play arenas with farming of honor and marks in the battlegrounds.

Season 4 isn't expected any time soon which will give you plenty of time to reach the 75000 honor cap. You may even pick up some of the vindicator items on the way.

Oh yeah! Sorry, I drink a lot :) Prolly wanna give it a shot sometime this weekend. I just got a new box for the shammy and moved my old one to main and am in the process of redoing everything. I copied you and loaded up Photek, trying to get everything configured just right. (keybinding for Bartender sucks btw). Anyhow, taking forever but I should (better) be ready to roll this weekend. What server do you troll with the spice girls again? That way I can hop over and shout at ya.
