Hey all

So I just started a new team of three shammy's, I am wondering what kind of spec should I work with as I level them? I know at 70 elemental is the best but does it work well with a shammy team? Any advice is welcome.

Thanks

It may suck as a spec till 40, but you still have 3x normal dps, a round of lightning bolts will still down any target of your level. So whatever suits you tbh.

If you go elemental, just use caster gear, even if it's cloth, you wont be getting hit much.

I'm a fan of enhancement main and 2 elemental for what you're talking about. Gear the main out in the toughest stuff you can find, even if you sacrifice a little dmg, then gear the others in cloth to get max dmg/int. For grouping advertise as 3 DPS and keep it simple.

Casting IMO. You could go Enhancement but it would be a little harder to hit mobs.

You do want to work you melee weapons up from time to time. Never know when they will come into use for those up close and personable moments

I never go to 2 handers. That extra armor your shield gives you is definitely needed for those melee players.
My one two punch is Lightning Bolt/Fire Shock or Chain Lightning/Fire Shock or Chain Lightning/Lightning Bolt/Fire shock. You can see that Fire Shock is my finishing cast.

Many will tell you they use Earth Shock. ES does not stack like Fire Shock does. Magma Totem pulses, so I use this again for melee players. Especially when they cant see 5 totems pulsing mega damage.

My favorite is Fire Nova(5) then Magma(5) after the Nova goes off.

Hm... I'm currently running a 5 shaman setup with 4 being casters and 1 being a healer.

What I do is
0. (only if I feel like it is needed with is very seldom) Put down all totems (5 x 4 = 20, unfortunately manareg doesn't stack, but healthreg does)
1. Pull the mob(s) with lightning bolt or chain lightning (from each caster)
2. Hit the mob with a shock (1x earth, 2x fire, 2x frost)
3. usually, this is when I loot :) even with a mob 4 levels higher, if not, repeat from (1)

The healer has only the shocks bound to keys in order to always be free for heals (shocks are instant, so that's ok). He heals whatever is needed while the other do their cast spams...

The specs are naturally (1) restoration for the healer and (2) elemental for the casters.
Of course they all have maces and shields in order to withstand melee hits if a mob doesn't go down quickly enough.
The healer is the controlling char and has the best equip. He is also enchanter in order to dis the loot and improve the equipment of the whole group.

Cheers

I have just started a new shaman 4 box on Destromath myself.

What I find myself most comfortable with is my main being the healer / spotter for the nukers & backup shocking / nukes. I find healing to be spot on when I actually do it myself directly ( go figure! ).

I am having a tough time though deciding on a final spec for the nukers though. I really want NS as I will be doing PvP - but that kills off being able to max out all the handy features of Elemental.

Also: Anyone tried a spec that combines instant Ghost Wolf + NS and Still be elemental? I was toying with this last night and I am thinking I sacrifice WAY too much DPS to make it worth it. But on the other hand, in-combat 40% haste is fun too.
