Hey guys, love the forum, its been very infomative. I'm trying out dualboxing possibly going for tri. Hoping I dont get so hooked that I have to go for 5!

I have a display of 1440x900, can anyone help me with the correct settings for maximizer to have the 2 windows split top & bottom?

Much appreciated 8)

If you want equal screen sizes, it's almost preferable to make your screen vertical rather than horizontal. Does your monitor rotate?

hmm. My guess would be 2 windows, side by side, 720x900. In the maximizer settings, just place a new region and put in this size, then lock them into place in the box. See if these settings look ok.

Edit: Though, you could also do 1 big window (900x900?) with a small window off to the side, but you wouldn't be able to really read the small window, you'd just be able to see whats going on.

hmm, ay screen size for duals is never easy :S the only thing i could suggest is the 720x900 vertical spilt and have them side by side. If you end up with tri then luckily you can go with a 720x900 for your main and 720x450 for the two clones (720x450 will have the same aspect ratio as the full screen, only a quarter of the size).

top bottom splits will severely mess with your head methinks.. 1440x450 eek!! although I guess you could put your action bars either side and free up a bit of viewfield like that, but I wouldn't recommend it.

it get better when you get to 5 (evil glint in eye attempting to wrestle another into 5 boxing)

with 5 boxing on a lappy you can have 4 mini screens taking up just 360x225 leaving you with a nice 1080x900 screen for your main which doesn't seem quite so strange anymore. that's what i run when I 5 box on the go or abroad :P I'll try posting a pic soon so you can have a looksee.

I'll give the big window-little one a try I think, will work better for when I go 3 screen too. Cheers :D

or this! leaves space for an out of wow application such as winamp or VLC for films in miniature ^^

2 windows of 1440x450...going to look like crap...

maximizer --margin=0,450,0,0
maximizer --margin=450,0,0,0
