My lil 3Box

Hey all, I am just poking around in here and I thought I would post a quick pic of my small 3box setup. I have to use a dedicated PC for each instance of the game (City of Heroes) cuz the KeyClone won't work across multiple windows with this particular game. So, I am using MultiBox and I have the game running on all 3 PCs. :lol:

Whoa, first time I see someone multiboxing CoH! What is CoH like to multibox, what hero types are you using and how do you do work in-game?

I used to dual box CoH :)

The sidekick feature makes lvling new alts a breeze, the first time the Snowman event was up I got 2 accounts full of alts up to 30 in a day >.> Back then I just used follow and assist, and manualy controlled both of them though, was pretty easy, as you can queue attacks it's a pretty forgiving game to dual box :)

I am using 3 Fire/Radiation Corruptors.

The FIRE is great for AOE and quick attacks. The RADIATION is my choice because of Accelerate Metabolism. It is a good buff by itself but once you get 3 stacked, it becomes a permanent 60% damage boost, Resist to Sleep-Hold-Immob., Running speed boost, Recharge boost and END recovery boost. Also, using Multibox, the buttons are hit all at once on all 3. The heal in the RAD set is small but it gets multiplied by 3 and is autohit, no target needed. Just hit LVL 16 with all and picked up RAD infection. By itself it takes 25% accuracy from target, but it also stacks 3 times for a 75% penalty to all foes with 15 feet. It is auto hit as well.

Basically stacking 3 AMs makes Hasten Permanent as well on all 3. I will post a few vids if that is cool, maybe this week sometime.

Good idea Dominoz, i really want to see how to multi-box on City of Heroes, want to try it with my gf account and mine somedays.

Have you got 3 computers ? or are you playing with 3 CoH games running ?

I started multi-boxing in CoH/CoV. Its far easier as attacks don't break follow, and you don't need to assist, you automatically target through your target.

Sadly with virtually nothing to do once you hit 50 (Cap) the only recourse is to reroll which gets boring after a while, though the new (ish) inventions system has changed that somewhat.

Personally I played a scrapper to fifty, the dual boxed another scrapper and a defender to mid forties. And most recently have played with Fire/Kin controllers... Stacked Speed Boost plus Siphon Speed is so much better than AM ;) And as for Fulcrum shift on pets.... :twisted:

Sadly I don't play any more as my weird ass connection keeps losing characters into limbo :(

Did it with two, Robots/Dark but I found that I lagged a lot and the targeting gets screwed up. If you use a blaster and target through the tank the blasters attack hits the tanks target. If you attack through a tank (Brute) on CoV with a MM you just get invalid Target messages. Sure there is a way round that but It wasn't much fun. :(

OTOH A dark corruptor and a Bots/Dark MM was a lot of fun. :D

I had that exact same computer desk about 6 years ago. For the record its not a good idea to place 150lbs 22" monitors on top of the monitor stands at the top. I had to place things under it to support it. Is they why you have all those DVD cases there? =)

I broke this desk when I moved. Handle with care, I sure didn't lol.

Yep, those CDcases are the extra support for the 24 Dell Monitor. The other side has no weight on it...the Stand holds the other two monitors up above the shelf...no contact.

I have smoked everything in my path playing 3 Fire/Radiation corruptors...it actually isn't fair. I am also using the Speed boosters as well and that gets fun too.

I tried with all 3 MM and it is INSANE! I use the thugs...so we are all shooting from afar and then I use Gang War and 30...30! more thugs get on screen, NUTZ!

Anyway, I have updated my setup a little and actually got around to programming some macros into my gamepad so now one click...

With just one click on my gamepad...I select team member 2...Speed Boost, Grant Invisible and Increased density...then it automatically selects team member 3 and does the same Buff combo. It is all 3 guys doing this to each other...pretty nice.

I'll get a video done of the whole thing...it is sweet.
