Results of testing of various devices (Keyboards/Mice) with various synchronous KM/KVM switches with ratings as:
GOOD: Programmable macros & added functionality work as intended;
OK: Device functions but only with default key-binds or as a plain keyboard/mouse;
BAD: Device unusable or key pieces of the device do not function at all;
Note: It is likely that the Aimos 4 port and 8 port both work identically but just in case not we will denote which devices have been tested with which switch...

I can confirm using a shuone that as long as the host pc has razer synapse on it with the keybinds configured for each connected pc that the orb weaver will completely function including the d pad. You CANNOT use any of the keyboard shortcuts to turn sync off/on with shuone. Work around I found is using the d pad for team movement then using the wasd keys on orbweaver for main movement.

How did you get your orbweaver to work with the shuone? Mine doesn't want to see it, on either computer.

Yesterday I got a 44 key Koolertron key pad (B076LZJ5JS on US Amazon) and have tested it with the ShuOne 8 port and the AIMOS 8 port. Here is what I have experienced so far. I've only tested this with a single player at the moment. While I do not expect the AIMOS results to change with multiple characters playing, I'll update my post if that ends up being the case.
With ShuOne: BAD Completely unusable as the KM sync ignores the device entirely, even for basic movement keys. Likely incompatible due to the VID/PID hiding feature on the ShuOne.
With AIMOS 8 Port: Somewhere between GOOD and OK. Very much usable with the exception of single button port swapping. All of my basic keys work, as do the hotkey buttons that send a keystroke with modifiers. You can use a burst key configuration with NUM* and NUM0 to turn sync on/off.
Round robin key actions also work, which was one of the things I wanted this device for. This lets you define a button where one of three different keys are sent in sequence. Each key press sends the next key each time you press the button. My intention is to use this as a totally EULA compliant IWT key. My sequence sends move back (bound only on melee chars), my IWT key and then my DPS key.
A burst key configuration did not work for direct port access like it did for Sync On/Off. I believe this is because the sync on/off hot key does not require you to let go of NUM0 before letting go of NUM*, which is how the direct port access hot keys work. This does not mean you cannot direct swap ports, you just need to be sure to allocate keys to NUM* and NUM1 ... NUM5 (or however high you need to go). You will need to get used to the release pattern to properly swap the port as the # key must always be released before NUM*.
Here is a screenshot of my current configuration:
https://www.dual-boxing.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2442&stc=1
Here is how I have my Sync On burst key configured:
https://www.dual-boxing.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2443&stc=1
I tried many of the other types of key configurations to enable single key port swapping with no luck, this include Two Key Click configurations. If the proper key values can be determined for NUM* and NUM1 through NUM5 it should be possible to create a macro to swap ports with a single key. After spending over an hour on that I have not gotten one to work.
Based on my experience thus far, I do not think the "Press/Release" options in the macro script editor will work. Using that option seems to bypass the AIMOS's interpretation of the key being pressed. When I run such a macro in this window I see the key output and the AIMOS does not switch. Example if I press my macro key to switch to port 2 :
*2 I'm very new to Koolertron devices but this behavior seems to indicate the device is sending the value outputted by the key that was "pressed" as opposed to registering the key itself, if that makes sense?
If a macro can be crafted to switch ports, it will likely have to be use the KeyDown and KeyUp actions. Unfortunately it has proven somewhat challenging to decipher the included USB HID key table PDF for activating the numpad keys. The software is not clear if you're supposed to use the decimal, hex or AT position key values. The HEX option seems off the table as that generally resulted in Key00 showing up in the macro. If anyone knows more about the proper place to find a definitive list of KeyDown/KeyUp for use in Koolertron Macro Script, please share.

How did you get your orbweaver to work with the shuone? Mine doesn't want to see it, on either computer.
I first configured and installed the synapse software on host pcs. I plugged orbweaver into each pc to configure the keybindings. The I disconnected it and connected the shuone. I plugged it into the keyboard port and did a test with selecting notepad if all of the keys replicated correctly. Let me know if this helps.

Wootenblatz, I was unable to get any Koolertron macros to fire for me so I don't have much insight to share. You may want to import some of the sample macros that should be in the smkd72\Example\Example_Macro folder and see if they can give you any insights.

You may want to import some of the sample macros that should be in the smkd72\Example\Example_Macro folder and see if they can give you any insights. ...I was kinda bummed that the 48 key Koolertron only supports 8 macros so I also ordered the 23key Koolertron that supports 24 macros (more than 1 per key) so the entire keypad is hardware macro-able.
Was pretty bummed that the macros on the 23 key Koolertron also did not seem to work (like my 48 key Koolertron) when testing late last night...
I then turned off everything in my system tray and they started working (at least on the 23 key Koolertron as I haven't retested the 48key Koolertron)... So it looks like one of the many utilities I have been testing is somehow interfering with my Koolertron macros... If I decide to keep using either Koolertron and figure out by trial and error which of those utilities is causing the issue I will try to remember to report back...
Mainly sharing the info that if you are testing a Koolertron and are having issues with macros not working I suggest you turn off things in your tray and retest to see if you have conflicts like I did.

Corsair K70 works with hardware actions through KM but first needs to be plugged directly into computer running iCue software to create and store profile to keyboard. Do not use the software actions those are only available when plugged in directly to a computer running the iCue software.
Razer Naga Trinity works if you load the profile from only one computer. Again plug directly into one computer running Synapse and set the onboard profile then unplug and quit Synapse (also important do not have running on any other computer) before plugging into KM switch. This will keep the onboard profile and send key mappings to all devices.
edit: it seems there may be different naga trinity models, I have this model (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0788MCRGC?th=1)- additional info is posted here (https://www.dual-boxing.com/threads/58015-How-to-make-direct-slot-swapping-usable-with-the-ShuOne-8-port-KM-Synchronizer?p=433696&viewfull=1#post433696)

After seeing Wootenblatz's post on getting koolertron working with the Aimos 8 port, I decided to retest it on my side and managed to get my 48 koolertron to work with the Aimos 4 port. The problem I seemed to have was with the boot process. When I initially tested the koolertron, I customized a few keys and saved over the default profile. I also kept plugging it into the ShuOne which would halt the boot process. I'm not exactly sure which is to blame but after this, I started to experience random boot issues where the koolertron would get stuck and do nothing even when directly connected to my PC. To solve the issue, I restored the backup I had over the default profile and the boot issues seemed to go away. I then retested with the AIMOS and the basics seemed to work good! As for as the advanced features, I refer users to see Wootenblatz's earlier post as I have not had a chance to dive deeper.

Wootenblatz, I was unable to get any Koolertron macros to fire for me so I don't have much insight to share. You may want to import some of the sample macros that should be in the smkd72\Example\Example_Macro folder and see if they can give you any insights.

Also, you can include the Red Dragon M990 Legend Chroma as GOOD for the 8 port AIMOS. I've been using it constantly since I got my 8 Port and it works identically to the 4 port.
I can test the K585 Red Dragon keypad and K588 tenkeyless Red Dragon keyboard soon. I'll update this post once I can do that. I think it is safe to say that anything that works on the 4 port AIMOS will work the same on the 8 port. Unless we find an indication they're somehow different, you might be able to combine them to save space in the posts?

I think part of the issue with the space is that it may be counting the text of the URLs that I am including as hyperlinks to the original source thread/post where the testing was documented (even if in this same thread). Maybe I can also replace the regular/full URLs with some Tiny URLs.

8 ports KVM switch USB synchronizer 8 ports synchronous controller
Official Website: http://www.fj-gear.com/US108/show/217.html
Stay on chinese version and use google translate, the english website does not have any content/info
Basically identical with ShuOne 8 port Synchronouse KM switch (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07NZSZFL8) (some different shortcuts)
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33015621988.html?spm=a2g0s.12269583.0.0.70075cefml ny63
They are shipping worldwide, couldn't buy the Shuone from Amazon.com, as they don't deliver to EU.
My order arrived after about a week. Faster than estimated on aliexpress.
GOOD to OK: Corsair K70 RBG Rapidfire
Functions as normal keyboard & macros/profile can be saved to device if plugged in normally before.
No access to iCUE software when connected through KVM.
GOOD to OK: Mouse Logitech G700S
Functions as normal mouse & macros/profile can be saved to device if plugged in normally before (all additional 10 buttons work and send keyboard strokes)
No access to Logitech Gaming software when connected through KVM.
NOTE: The FJ Gear US-108 KVM has a 3 key rollover limit.
Meaning when you walk forward (1), strafe(2) and rightlick mouselook(3) at the same time, the mouse will sometimes lose focus due to signal updates of continuous mouse, but catches itself again.
When additionally pressing a spell button (4) the mouse will always lose focus.
Did anyone experience this limit with the ShuOne?

Yesterday I got a 44 key Koolertron key pad (B076LZJ5JS on US Amazon) and have tested it with the ShuOne 8 port and the AIMOS 8 port.
...
If a macro can be crafted to switch ports, it will likely have to be use the KeyDown and KeyUp actions.
After a number of unhelpful back and forth emails with Koolertron support, I believe I have accidentally figured out how to do proper key up key down macros with the Koolertron. All of my email exchanges gave me the sense that the person on the other end simultaneously thought I was an idiot while also assuming I knew some baseline knowledge about how the device works. It kind of drove me nuts.
This applies to the AIMOS 4 port and AIMOS 8 port.
Anyway, I say I discovered this accidentally because no where in the manual or in my emails with support did it ever become clear where the numbers for a key up/down "key value" should come from. When I specifically asked support this question I got this in response:
The parameter after the Keydown command is the row and column number of the key. To use the keyboard to enter the number, you can enter this parameter .
In retrospect this makes total sense. However at no point did this person say "use the row/column key position on the physical device". Hence my comment about "baseline knowledge" I mentioned earlier.
Last night I happened to notice the top of the pop up window you get when assigning a key type to a key. This is when I remembered the cryptic mention of "row and column number of the key". Seeing this finally made everything click into place for me:
https://www.dual-boxing.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2456&stc=1&d=1606942420
As it turns out the "key value" part of macros refers to the physical key position on the device. The 44 key unit has 6 rows of keys with 8 columns of keys. So the top left key is key value 11. The last key in the top row is 18. Keys that take up multiple spots seem to be referenced by the first location they occupy. In my image below the black CTRL key is Key 51 and occupies spot 51 and 61. The "window" key in the bottom row is key 62.
To create a proper direct port swap macro on the Koolertron 44 key unit you'd need to bind one key for NUM* and five keys for NUM1 through NUM5. You'd probably want these out of the way because the macros themselves also need to be bound to keys.
Then you'd need to bind the macro for each PC swap key to 5 additional keys. You'd end up having to dedicated 11 keys up to attain a single button port switch for 1 through 5.
Here is one example of how that might look if the top row dedicated key 3 through 8 to the macros assignments. I'm not showing those keys but instead showing a macro that should swap to the port for PC1. Key 12 is NUM*, Key 21 is NUM1.
https://www.dual-boxing.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2457&stc=1&d=1606942487
Given that you can turn sync on (NUM*+NUM0) with a single key in burst configuration mode, I'd recommend that so you can save a key if you do create direct port swap macros.
In closing, I have not actually tested these exact configuration. I did test a number of other macros that behave in a similar way. I do not want to dedicate 11 keys to direct port swapping on a keypad. I'm generally not turning off keyboard sync in combat with my current setup.

Additional testing I've done:
Red Dragon K588-RGB: TenKeyless KB (named "Broadsword") - General device notes:
There is no dedicated software for this keyboard but I was able to use the K587RGB-Pro software.
G key macros recorded in hardware seem to store the key was pressed, as opposed to the output of that key. By that I mean a G key set to NUM* will play back as the USB HID value for NUM* and not just *.
GOOD - ShuOne: use the REC button to assign G keys to Sync On and direct port swapping. Direct swapping works with both of the ShuOne's WINKEY+# and ALT+# port swapping options. I used this keyboard for at least 3 weeks with my ShuOne and it was great.
OK - AIMOS 4+8: The device works and you can use the K587 software to record macros to the G-keys (not the case for all Red Dragon keyboards). The lack of a numpad means hardware recording of the AIMOS sync/swapping shortcuts requires software macros. Software macros stored on a G key played back unreliable for me. While I did not test the rebind approach I ended up using for the K586, it may work better (see below). If you do not care about recording AIMOS hot keys to the G-keys, you might consider this GOOD instead of OK.
Red Dragon K586RGB-Pro: Full size keyboard (named "Brahma Pro") with a similar layout to the 588 - General device notes:
Dedicated software available but you cannot record software macros to the G keys
Hardware macros seem to store the output of the key pressed instead of the USB HID value for the key pressed. A G key bound to NUM* will play back as *. NUM5 plays back as 5 and not NUM5. I could not find any resources for if this was a hardware limitation or some kind of toggle.
Software macros bound to non-G keys play back by USB HID value and not output of the key. This keyboard seems to behave in the opposite fashion compared to the K588. Honestly, it baffles me they're so different.
(out of the box) OK - ShuOne and AIMOS 4+8: The device works as a keyboard. Pressing KM sync command hotkeys manually results in the proper behavior on the device. However, recording a KM sync hot key on a G key via a macro recorded in hardware mode did not work for me. For instance on the AIMOS a G key bound to NUM*+NUM2 would play back as *2 and the AIMOS would stay on port 1. NUM*+NUM0 would play back as *0 and Sync would stay off. This is what I am referring to with all of my "USB HID value vs output of key" talk is about above.
(minor macro rebinding) GOOD - AIMOS4+8, probably the ShuOne as well. I have this working great with the following changes:
Create a hardware macro that maps the G1 to F1, G2 to F2, G3 to F3, G4 to F4 and G5 to F5
In software record the port swap command for your KM sync to each of the Function keys. For example, F1 has a macro that issues NUM*+NUM1
Pick one other "Regular" key to add a software macro to for Sync On. I used INS but any non-G key will do. You can bind this key to any of the G6 through G10 keys if you want.
Essentially you're turning the G keys into into function keys and then using function keys for macros. It works great so far. As I noted above this method may work for the 588 and the AIMOS but I did not test it.

Hey all. Like everyone else, I have set about running hardware mulktiboxing. I want to share my experience with the ShuOne switch and the Steelseries Apex Pro keyboard.
I wanted to use macro to easily press sync on and off. Unfortunately it was not possible to record Scroll Lock + Scroll Lock + 0 in the software program in windows 10.
I tried to record macro but when I pressed Scroll Lock it only recorded when I released the scroll button, ie up arrow. It should record the down arrow when I pressed the button and the up arrow when I released the button. But unfortunately it did not, it only recorded the up button which led to me not being able to record the macro to have sync on and off.
After 5 hours I figured out how to get around this problem.
This is how:
1. Press and hold ALT
2. Now press the Scroll Lock x2 +0
3. Release the Alt Button
4. Remove the Alt keys inside the macro.
5. Enjoy :)
Hope this helps. Will show with pictures below with the Steelseries own software for macros..
Picture 1: How it did look when i tried to record macro.

Picture 3: Now remove the Alt buttons, right click on it and remove so it looks like this

some update, reverting some of my initial impressions about Logitech 502 hero (and probably also for older 502).
after more testing can confirm Logitech 502 Hero works GOOD with AIMOS 8 ports (and probably with 4 ports version too):
- setup profile macro(s)/keybinds inside Logitech Hub software with mouse direcly connected on pc;
- in my tests i ve used macros like *+0,*+1 etc followed *+F9/*+F10. these macros with first combo change active pc and with second switch relative/absolute mouse state on AIMOS.
- lock profile, and then activate this profile on onboard memory . i removed all other profile leaving just this one.
add here (https://www.logitech.com/assets/65550/ghub.pdf) manual for Logitech Hub usage.
- modern logitech items supports a powerful lua scripting with good API for complex tasks.
- i ve spent some time programming a loop sequence: bad news, these scripts looks like not working while mouse is working with onboard memory only outside Logitech Hub software.
- quit logitech hub and connect mouse directly to AIMOS and it now can sends input to AIMOS switch, repeat after enable memory onboad with that profile active.
- suggest to disable other onboard profiles to make possible use more buttons normally used for logitech profiles switch tasks.
after setup, used to levelling a team 50-51. make AIMOS switching flawless:).
tested a bit AIMOS 8 ports in combo with another branded/called MTVIKI 8 ports, it uses same combo and has similar functionality.
my MT-VIKI has some defective usb cables, for the rest it works similar ot AIMOS
not sure if it s same chip, but about AIMOS OS shows as ASX68004 (its chip signature).
https://www.asix.com.tw/en/product/Microcontrollers/USB_KVM_SoC/AX68004
for MT-VIKI is generic composite usb controller.
use this post to ask a question about ShuOne:
weird fact, after some tests on PID mine cant be controlled anymore, tryed to reset, nothing. it seems now cant interact with any keyboard or keypad.
try to be clearer: looks like the commands sent to ShuOne bypass it and reach pc/s, no chance to get working anymore ScrollLock+ScrollLock+N etc etc.
i bought mine on aliexpress from china.
anyone got similar issue or has possible solution?
nvm!
solved with scrllock+scrllock+K and then scrolllockx2+R

So these kvm switches are also sending the keyboard input to all outputs. So how is this not "broadcasting"?No one said this was not broadcasting... This is hardware based broadcasting.
If you are referring to the Policy Update by Blizzard, it was a "Policy Update for Input Broadcasting Software (https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/news/23558957/policy-update-for-input-broadcasting-software)".
A hardware synchronous KM switch isn't Broadcasting Software...

8 port ShuOne.
Razer Huntsman Elite - Works Good - On board profiles work. I was able to macro Broadcast On to Caps lock with no issues at all. I have been trying to macro Alt 1-4 to different keys. Have not been able to make that work. Which is odd because it should be as straightforward as the broadcast on macro... Anyone have any thoughts?
Corsair Scimitar - Works OK - the 'onboard profile' does not work with a passthrough. I found a Mod post in the corsair forums that confirms this.
I am testing out a 4 box Aster setup. One KB / 2 Mice. Its smoother than I expected after I limited my frames to my slaves.
Ill be grabbing a Quad Multiplex to go with a full 5 man team, as I have no desire to add a 5th monitor to my current setup(mostly for work)
If I can find a solid mmo mouse that can passthrough remaps/macros, and I can figure out how to rebind/macro the ShuOne's alt 1-4 ill be quite satisfied.

Have you figured out a way to store more complex macros (macros that utilize "while holding" and "on release") on the G502?
My approach was to e.g. have my dps spread out while using the mousewheel-tilt-left button. works when being controlled via GHUB, doesnt work when saved in the onboard memory.
What DOES work though, is having all keypresses in the "on press" section. so e.g. having a cast macro that first enables broadcasting and then presses the key and switches back to the main char works. (*0 [cast key] *0 *5).
For movement, the key needs to stay pressed - so e.g. *0 [move key][move key][move key][move key][move key][move key]... *0 *5 -This macro is not working when in onboard mode.
Does anybody have a recommendation for a mouse where this is actually possible?
Other than that, G502 and Logitec G910 working fine with the Aimos8. Switching to a Coolermaster SK650 though due to the G910 having no onboard memory.

just got EXPERTKEYS full programmable keyboard 58 keys
https://storefront.expertkeys.com/60-home_default/expertkeys-ek-58-usb-tastatur.jpg
specifically same model in pic:
https://storefront.expertkeys.com/startseite/31-expertkeys-ek-58-usb-tastatur-0700587547904.html
in my country it is available on Amazon. bought with amazon.
there are 3 models: 20, 58 and 128 keys.
it s a bit expensive. 58 keys model price is 150 euro, a german **panzer** hardware hehe.
the lookup is a bit oldish style.
it comes with proprietary software to programming keys, all saved in on-board memory.
software is on dvd and downloadable from expertkeys website , in case like me not have a dvd/cd drive
it has 2 layers, so basically it has 2 profiles. doubling how many programmed keys can be stored on it.
personally i ve decided to buy this keyboard after read some people use it on work to update/program various typo of hardware terminals.
with many good reviews.
ofc programming requires direct connection to pc without passing from km sync.
AIMOS 8P and probably 99% 4P, excuse me im a bit lazy here to test both ...xD
at start, just tested some custom basic keybindings and all working GOOD with aimos 8p.
after that tested combo keybinds, like ctrl+d for example, it worked as expected.
finally checked if it can send combo keys to aimos models, i have both 4p and 8p, like *+1,*+0 etc etc.
again, worked perfectly. to simulate keypress status use <*><1><->. final tag used to simulate stopped keypress.
explained in manual in english anyway, inside software package.
GOOD test!
i m going to use it connected with aimos 4p to send keys to followers.
shuone 8p
tested with kb port
normal programmed keys worked perfectly. exactly like with aimos. not needed changes.
to control shuone tested some scrlLock combos. at start not worked. after first attempt i just added 100ms delay to each key, in this way:
srlLck+100+scrlLck+100+0,1,2 etc and these combo worked perfectly!
GOOD
looks like this programmable kb can work good with both most common/used km syncs.
note:
add here too some more infos about binding movements keys, following reply from private question on discord.
this keyboard, like many others of same type, in general have great issues simulating holding-keys press.
in few words, witrh this hardware -> binding ingame movements keys <- is not a possible option.
it would be possible using in combo with some software like HKN.
but with well known policy changes, not advisable and really risky.

looks like this programmable kb can work good with both most common/used km syncs. That is a pretty interesting keypad. It reminds me of the Koolertrons which were great in theory but not interoperable with KM switches.
On a related note I had similar thoughts and wanted a fully hardware programmable keyboard/keypad so I did a ton of research and in the end I decided to leverage the Open Source Quatum Mechanical Keyboard Firmware standard (QMK (https://docs.qmk.fm)). I had a hard time finding a cost effective yet professional QMK option and looked at lots of alternatives including isolinear keypads.
Most QMK options I found looked to be devices that need lots of hobbiest type of effort that I don't really have time for (and were expensive on top of needing lots of effort). In the end I decided that if I was going to pay that much for something I decided that I wanted to get something that would work in my normal life and would be effective for my job as well. The best professional option that I could find that looked to be effective in both games and work were the following QMK compatible options (which have 4+ programmable layers/profiles):
- 67 keys : Drop ALT Mechanical Keyboard (https://drop.com/buy/drop-alt-mechanical-keyboard);
- 67 keys : Drop ALT High-Profile Mechanical Keyboard (https://drop.com/buy/drop-alt-high-profile-mechanical-keyboard);
- 87 keys : Drop CTRL Mechanical Keyboard (https://drop.com/buy/drop-ctrl-mechanical-keyboard);
- 87 keys : Drop CTRL High-Profile Mechanical Keyboard (https://drop.com/buy/drop-ctrl-high-profile-mechanical-keyboard);
- 99 keys : Drop SHIFT Mechanical Keyboard (https://drop.com/buy/drop-shift-mechanical-keyboard);
- 99 keys : Drop SHIFT High-Profile Mechanical Keyboard (https://drop.com/buy/drop-shift-high-profile-mechanical-keyboard);
All of the above should be fully usable for work and regular use with a default profile and then on one or more game profiles/layers every single key should be fully programmable (even sophisticatedly macro-able)...
If I have time (which is a big IF) I would love to test a QMK option with a synchronous switch (or hear of other's test results).

Glad to hear another Aster implementation having good results so far as it has so much less overhead than full VMs.
Overall the ShuOne 8 seems to be the most readily available but also the least compatible with devices...
The mouse reported to work with the ShuOne 8 is the Razer Naga Trinity which should go well with your Razer Huntsman keyboard. Some specfic notes from the testers were/are here:

Though this is with an Amios4 the following is how to best have a chance to get it to work:

Ya, exchanged my Scimitar for the Razer Naga Trinity on amazon and got $10 back.

Some interesting notes on using a mouse to control switching on the ShuOne 8 that I saw in Discord:
Note that the Razer Trinity mouse may work fine but for other mice you may want to try the following...
yeaunome 12/22/2020:
@nodoze Corsair Scimitar CH-9304311-NA - OK - Basic Mouse Functions work - No Macros/Rebinding of the 12 keys on the side 8 port ShuOne
destrolock Today at 1:47 PM:
@yeaunome yes I was having the same issue. It does not pick up the ALT or Control for switing purposes when it comes from the mouse. I does however sent those keys though to the computer. I'm using g502 onboard mem.
yeaunome Today at 1:48 PM:
were you able to rebind it?
destrolock Today at 1:48 PM:
I got around that by binding the serial mode function to a key. press once to enable you to swhich to a screen and then press it again to turn it off and lock it to the screen you are on. It took a bit to get used to but I really like it now.
To be honest my setup is working pretty well with the 2 Shuones, one mouse one keyboard.
I set 2 macros on the mouse to turn on broadcasting to all PC's and another to toggle Serial Mode whih allows me to do 2 things. the first is to toggle serial port on which when you are in a broacasting state automatically jumps to port 1. You then have 2 options toggle it again and lock it to PC 1 or move your mouse left to right jumping from port 1 all the way to 8 and back through to 1. Moveing left with the mouse does the reverse effect. When you are on the desired computer with your mouse you can toggle off Serial and you mouse stays locked to that port.
Simple macros pass through to the shuone so Scroll lock Scroll Lock M and Scroll Lock Scroll lock 0 were all i needed in order to make this work. I was able to do some other fancy things but This gave me the best functionality and even allowed me to drive from other PCs very easily.
yeaunome Today at 1:52 PM:
hmmm ty. working on digesting that lol
destrolock Today at 1:53 PM:
I also have a 3rd bind on my mouse to reset the shuone when it acts weird.
Scroll lock Scroll lock R Resets the Shuone
Scroll lock Scroll Lock M Turns on and off serial mode. When serial mode is on you will get a bunch of weird screen movement when it is locked to a specific monitor that goes away.
Scroll lock Scroll Lock 0 Turns on broadcasting to all ports
The reason I settled on this is becasue if you are in broadcast mode and press the serial mode it always jumps to port 1 then i press Serial mode again to lock it to Port one and that is the port I play from with the mouse. very rarely am I broadcasting my mouse unless I am picking up quest items or gathering. I was going to make a guide but havent had time.
yeaunome Today at 1:58 PM:
ok, im following. You can set Serial Mode to toggle from Broadcast On directly to Port 1
which is exactly what i need. I will definitely check it out shortly
destrolock Today at 2:00 PM:
Yep. I was banging my head against the wall until I realized it did that. I went so far as to macro turning on / off all ports one by one but that took a bout 3 seconds to complete one by one.
yeaunome Today at 2:00 PM:
lol
yeaunome Today at 2:09 PM:
Boom. working perfect. My left hand thanks you.

Note that Im using the corsair scimitar temp which is connected only to my master to drive my team. Im just using keyboard macros for the ShuOne Broadcast On(bound to X for me)/Serial Mode(Bound to C [I set the focus window to my master]) binds as my Razer Hunstman KB does work well through the KM
The scimitar onboard profiles will not work with any KVM/KM. There is a post in the corsair forums to confirm.
I will be attempting to run 2 ShuOne's for mouse and KB separately next week once the Razer Naga Trinity / USB PCI expansion card comes in.

That is a pretty interesting keypad. It reminds me of the Koolertrons which were great in theory but not interoperable with KM switches.
On a related note I had similar thoughts and wanted a fully hardware programmable keyboard/keypad I did research and in the end I wanted to leverage the Open Source Quatum Mechanical Keyboard Firmware standard (QMK (https://docs.qmk.fm)). I had a hard time finding a cost effective yet professional QMK option and looked at lots of alternatives including isolinear keypads.
Most QMK options I found looked to be devices that need lots of hobbiest type of effort that I don't really have time for (and were expensive on top of needing lots of effort). In the end I decided that if I was going to pay that much for something I decided that I wanted to get something that would work in my normal life and would be effective for my job as well. - 99 keys : Drop SHIFT Mechanical Keyboard (https://drop.com/buy/drop-shift-mechanical-keyboard);
- 99 keys : Drop SHIFT High-Profile Mechanical Keyboard (https://drop.com/buy/drop-shift-high-profile-mechanical-keyboard);

pretty interesting, i did not know this kb and related Quatum Mechanical Keyboard Firmware standard.
looks a real top class option.
so many profiles and a solid programmatic standard.
tempted!
atm both 99 keys models are OoS.

Today I received a Swiftpoint Z mouse (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071RNRJTG) and after setup I can confirm it is GOOD with an AIMOS8 port. I gave my ShuOne away to someone on Discord so I no longer can test that device. As long as you use the "Save mapping to permanent flash memory" from the driver software while plugged directly into a PC, all mappings will work on the AIMOS.
While I have some buttons setup for in game functions, a number of them are specifically AIMOS operations and all work as expected:
- Front edge button: Turn sync on, enable absolute mouse positioning
- Rear edge button: Enable relative mouse positioning, switch to PC1
- Right fingertip press: Turn sync on, enable relative positioning
- Left trigger press: Switch to PC2
- Left trigger pull: Switch to PC3
- Right trigger press: Switch to PC4
- Right trigger pull: Switch to PC5
Finally a unique feature on this mouse is the built in accelerometer that allows you to define output based on the tilt of the mouse left/right/front/back. I can confirm that when setup to issue my "others strafe" key binds, these tilt functions are passed through the AIMOS as intended.

Hi,
I have an Aimos 8 Port KVM Switch and have an issues when using the mouse maybe someone can help?
When I connect the mouse to the switch I can use it but it ignores the mouse speed settings of my pc or wow.
So in wow the screen often is flipping around or jumps to a strange camera angle when I hold the right mouse button (camera). I have already deactivated sync-mode etc. but nothing helps.
If I connect the mouse directly to the pc it works . I use an Redragon M990.
Does anyone encountered the same issue?
BTW my keyboard works perfectly fine.
Thx for help

yes.
i m using same mouse. over aimos 4p, for slaves.
similar issue in my setup depends by relative/absolute coordinate.
you can control in aimos with these combo:
*+F9 absolute
*+F10 relative
when on mouse sync i use absolute , like when need to click quests etc
when controlling mouse for single client, to change view on movement etc, i switch to relative coordinate

Had to come back to this thread again - truly a great resource.
I gave up dealing with the ShuOne KM sync and my non-hardware-programable keypad. There's just many things that you cannot do with the ShuOne, even if you do a lot of remapping of keys at the OS level.
Ordered a Aimos KM sync and hardware programable keyboard last night (was debating between Redragon K586-PRO (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07V6Y2DRH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) vs Corsair K95, went with K586 at 1/2 the price). I think that's the best way anyone has found to get 1 button macro keys for all the functionality you want (switch broadcasting on/off, switch to only single PC, switch mouse input to relative vs absolute).

As I noted above this method may work for the 588 and the AIMOS but I did not test it.
thanks for the breakdown, works perfect. Was worried it was going to cause issues with my mouse, as I use 12 keys on the naga trinity for most of my abilities, and those are bound to the function keys already. I have my F1-F6(Aimos Slots) bound to my 6 chars (5sham x 1mage) on the KB, Broadcast to tilde. Not sure how, but Function 1-6 on my mouse doesnt interfere with the Function 1-6 on the KB.

This unit is claiming to be suitable for KB+Mouse inputs and Video out to a single monitor. That KVM switch looks to be a regular switch that only outputs to one PC at a time. It does not look to be a Synchronous Switch that outputs a Keyboard and/or Mouse to multiple PCs at the same time which is what we are focused on when discussing hardware based keyboard/mouse input broadcasting.

Can a Moderator please move this thread to the 'Hardware Tools' sub-forum?
The tips/tricks and devices viable with KVM switches are not specific to Warcraft and Input Broadcasting of any kind is no longer in keeping with the Warcraft ToS so there are now multiple compelling reasons to move this thread.

Apologies for the necro. But I just got a Aimos 4 port Synchronous KM switch and tested some devices that I have
Keyboard:
Steelseties Apex Pro TKL - Bad. Shuts off by itself 5sec afterplugging in. Idk if it's power hungry enough that its shutting itself off
Corsair K63 Wireless (Test both wired and wireless) - Bad. Keymap not properly mapped., some keys are empty so not fixable by powertoys
XPG SUMMONER - Bad. Same with corsair, Keymap different from what I'm pressing. Some keys are empty
Azio KB505U (https://www.amazon.com/Azio-Tri-Color-Backlit-Keyboard-KB505U/dp/B008CXTX7S) - Good. The only keyboard that I own that works.
Mouse:
Razer Viper Ultimate V1 - Good. Works, macros stored also works.
Razer Pro Click - Good. Works, macros stored also works.
Razer DeathAdder V2 Pro Wireless - Bad. Doesn't work. no movement or clicks registered
