i know it sounds crazy, but what if you gut slim keyboards and create a ovelay. like a stacked keyboard.

top layer, with a carcass that comes out and down to next layer, and then other side to the next. this would make a multi hardware keyboard........ it shouldnt be floppy and encased to prevent wobble.

This would feel like a spring, if its made on a good scale, this should be reduced.

i can make such an abomination, but i dont have the time or patience right now.

I think this is possible.

If I recall correctly there are both cloth keyboards and rubber keyboards that my be stack-able and may have some consistency if the keybinds are separated out far enough but I don't recommend you pursue this.
