It's a pretty binary thing for me. 20 accounts canceled and I'm done with the game. Multiboxing content as a challenge (not gold farming which I suspect is where the angst is) was the only thing keeping me playing the game.

Personally I canceled all of my accounts, but as I have 4 months remaining, I think I'll just go back to how I used to do it, with tabbing between clients and a 2nd pc for the tank/healer.

Personally, I think my 5L team I started might actually not be a bad option for that.

Same for me, canceling 20 accounts atm, have full t1/t2 gear on every char, invested like 200 days ingame to master that, was able to solo ZG, few ppls needed as help for AQ 20, was going TF runs just by myslef + 1 tank, what was rly chalange for me. If multibox is gone, wow is not chalange for me anymore, especially stupid no-brain classic. Imho all this shits is happening cos of multibox-bot who is farming strat 24/7 and damaging wow economy.

Hopefully Blizzard realizes that this only helps botters and they revisit this to give us multiboxers some kind of accommodation.

Seems like game over. It seems odd they specifically banned software multiboxing - seemingly implying that hardware multiboxing is ok??? I think the line Blizz was trying to draw was that there's nothing prohibited about having multiple accounts or even logging on to them all at the same time, but controlling them all simultaneously is where they have a problem. But that's not actually what they said.

Hardware boxing is not OK. They just worded the update poorly. I have no doubt they will still ban anybody hardware boxing.

Multi-Boxing is OK.

It was 'Policy Update for Input Broadcasting Software (https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/news/23558957/policy-update-for-input-broadcasting-software)' no more no less and there has been no official ruling that I have seen regarding ISBoxer one way or the other (yet).

So far no mention of Hardware broadcasting being banned so that may or may not be a future issue.

In the end you have to look at the "Spirit of the Law" vs the "Letter of the Law" and also worthwhile to denote the direction of Blizzard...

2 things stand out to me in the Blizzard Announcement (https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/news/23558957/policy-update-for-input-broadcasting-software):

-"...allows a single keystroke or action to be automatically mirrored to multiple game clients...";
-"...and we've seen an increasingly negative impact...";

Those are the 2 cruxes of the current direction...

They should designate 1 multiboxing server per region. That would be the intelligent thing to do.

I canceled my 5 accounts, noting their change in ToS in my cancelation request. And even though I could institute a 'mechanical' solution across many machines, I believe that bans will be more due to user making reports than from binary scans and I just don't want to deal with that. I am not sure what makes me more disappointed, the fact they took this course, or the vitriol responses against multiboxers in the blizz forums.

Seriously, the people on the forums are crazy. They're acting like they've just defeated nazis of something. I've never seen so many people this crazy about what a minority of players are doing.

-"...and we've seen an increasingly negative impact...";

But take the whole quote and it says

we've seen an increasingly negative impact to the game as this software is used to support botting and automated gameplay.

This is a nuclear warhead being used to try and beat bots, as they've found no other way to do it, and we're just collateral damage.

If they wanted multiboxers gone all they have to do is remove /follow, after all.

We can thanks our russian friends. On EU servers, they litterally swamped Nazjatar for months, I have not heard of a single person mining or farming herbs not annoyed by these teams of 8 druids server hoping and stealing everything in every zones during week end rush hours and prime time in evening.

Have they issued a date that it applies from?

Have they issued a date that it applies from? Only thing I have seen officially is that "... We will soon (TM) begin issuing warnings ..."

From multiple people in the ISboxer Discord we have multiple confirmations of warnings going out apparently for ISboxer/InnerSpace. One example was a user who only logged in multiple accounts to do passive crafting cool-down Transmutes with no broadcasting. Not 100% sure that there were no player reports but it does indeed look like they may be scanning for ISboxer/InnerSpace.

We can wait for more folk to report to have better indication of causation but at this point the safest thing may be to stop using ISboxer until more is known...

On the good news front in the ISboxer Discord this morning there was an announcement work on a new slimmer version with no features against the ToS.

A sample warning message from Blizzard:

Feedback from a private inquiry to someone's friend (not mine) that works at Blizzard that indicates the stance is hard/firm:
