View Full Version : What to do at lvl 50 to prepare for SL launch?
Quit last Wotlk and played Classic. Now here for SL and just hit 50. No clue what to do next. WoW Retail has been really overwhelming to digest. Any help to prepare for SL launch as a 5 man boxer will be appreciated.
Get to 50, park your toons, wait for prepatch event to get your free ilvl 115 gear.
There's absolutely no point in understanding the BfA systems at this point. There's a lot going on and it's all going to be useless in less than a month.
The thing you should understand is that the retail game is built around borrowed power systems (azerite traits and essences, currently).

One thing to consider, if they keep the emissary quest rewards the same, the 2k gold one will be worth doing even in shadowlands. They didn't nerf the amount of gold from WQs in Legion, so I'm hoping they won't for BFA. If so, then you could get some teams to 50 and have them do enough to open WQs in BFA. Friendly with all BFA factions..and that is accomplished easily. IF you had a 120 before the squash, then your alts can open WQs right away. Right now on my server/alliance side there are two Emissary quests that reward 2k each.. i have 7 teams and made 140k in a few hours doing the WQs for them last night.

My shadowlands preparation is all just leveling to 50, my goals are:
1 account with all tanks (warrior doesn't need to be included, but I have it already anyway)
1 account with all healers
3 accounts that each have a shaman, druid and hunter
Bonus preparation is also having a paladin and a death knight at max level on each of those accounts.
I would just work on BFA flying and unlock allied races.
