This is my first post here and let me just say ISBoxer is absolutely phenomenal. I have gotten so much help from these forums as well as several videos Mirai has made, and I want to thank you all for your help.

I apologize if this was answered, I did do a search and couldn't find anything directly related to this. I have found information pointing that if you upgrade one account but not the others, that you can only get up to 110 on your other accounts. I had two upgraded before I consolidated bnet, and both got a boost, but the other 3 can still do most everything they can including allied races other than things such as allied race death knights. I have 120s on all 5 accounts, including the 3 that are BFA only and even have groups of 5 mechagnomes and 5 dark iron dwarves.

Upon first glance, it seems like the most efficient method would be buy the most expensive version you want on your main (the Epic in my case), then the base/$40 on the other accounts. Other than having accounts not consolidated, buying upgraded versions for boosts, then consolidating afterwards I don't think there are ways to get multiple boosts from multiple expansion buys. (I didn't do this on purpose, I legit didn't know proper account setup when I started out, but they let me keep the boost)

Are there better options than this, or other directions you could go where you could pay less and have expansions on all or pay more and get more boosts (staying within the rules, of course!). I am wondering why my experience is different than my research indicates since I have been able to do more than anticipated with these BFA accounts.

If I'm understanding your question correctly, then, and I'm just somewhat repeating what you've already stated, it comes down to whether or not you want the boosts on your accounts that don't have the Epic version. If you want the boosts, then buy the Heroic version. On the other hand, if you wish to skip the $20 boost offer, then buy the Base version, but the option to grab the cheap boost from upgrading may still be available in the future. They've offered the digital upgrade in the past, but a boost has never been locked behind a particular version before.

Also, I'd be careful if you're buying anywhere other than Blizzard right now, since RMT is becoming rampant as stand-still bot farms try to squeeze out as much as they can before Shadowlands hits and nerfs all those open-world farms into the ground.

Good call for sure, I'd only buy through Blizzard anyways as I'd never want to risk one account, much less five getting banned!

I am not sure you can get the boost by buying the epic on each. The way I interpreted it, if your accounts haven't upgraded to shadowlands at all that is the only way you're eligible. I haven't tested it and if someone has and it worked, that'd be great to know

You can allways upgrade - got the Heroic edition and can upgrade to epic https://www.dual-boxing.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2388&stc=1
