New to site. I used to MB years ago so I have a good idea of how to function...

So I decided to run 5 toons again for 2 reasons:

1. tmog farming
2. Mount farming

I did build a War/Dru/BM/BM/BM team (with Wizard to sub for one BM for Tmog) and they are all 470-475il with 15 cloak and maxed necks... so I can do some BFA Mythic 0's if I need to.

I started again in BFA and have got basic rep mounts and ones that you can buy on the AH.. plus the M+15 worm mount, HM8/8 mount, Nzoth and Glacial.

So my question is, what mounts can I farm with this team that are maybe once a day kill tries, once a week or whatever that are relatively easy to get to that I can do a run on each day/week? I dont care if the drop % is low, the lower the better... I just don't want to like spend 4+ hours waiting for a rare spawn. I would like the open world to be like 2 hour or less spawns and the others all doable in an instance. I do know of all the BFA Mythic dungeon ones. Any others you guys can suggest?

Also, Hivemind mount is my next goal - Is there something that has a linear path on how to do it? I did see Ellays videos on it but its like 6 hours or more and is every second of the actual quest (which will come in handy once I am doing it, TY Ellay)... I just need something that is super broken down, simple and linear step by step.

Thank you!

I prefere to use this site, to see what i lack.

It also has a "show planner" button, once you have gotten to your toons page. To see your mountlist, its located under the colletable section.

https://simplearmory.com/#/

Its not perfect... but helpfull + has quick link to wowhead to find info, if you click on a slot.

Just finished up and got a mount i wasnt aware i lacked (thanks to this site, again) and it was quite easy to get, so yay.

I followed this guide when I did it.

It's not specific to multiboxing though: https://www.wowhead.com/guides/the-hivemind

Yeah I use Wowhead for everything...

Question, in simplearmory it says "Make sure you have hearth set to shrine" - What and where is that? and is that still the best place to bind to?

Its most likely the pandaria city: "Shrine of two moons".

Though personally i have my hearthstone (HS) set to "Dazar'alor".
This way i can quickly use the portalroom there to go to Orgrimmar (then from there in the new portalroom take the portal to "jade forrest" (then fly to shrine).

If you dont have unlocked the direct portal to Uldum (see below), there is a semi fast portal, from underneath the portalroom in orgrimmar: walk walkwards a bit, then down the steps on your right hand side. You then fly a little bit south, then take the flightpath to uldum.

To fly directly to Uldum, from orgrimmar, take the portal to "uldum" from the "portal area", in the north on orgrimmar (just to the right of the "M" in "the valley of wisdom", if you look at the map).

Yeah all those portals were up for me... I actually boosted my team so they are in by default :) Thanks WOWBOX40, I will keep Dra as my bind and I also of course have the Dalaran Stone.

Going to piggyback on this thread instead of starting a new one.

I have a quick question about mount farming that is multiboxing adjacent.

If I am farming for a mount in old raids, is there a better or worse chance for a mount to drop if I run it solo as opposed to running it with my multiboxed tunes? i.e....will I have a different chance for a mount to drop if I run the raid 5 times with different characters opposed to boxing all 5 characters in the same instance run?

Thanks!

The possible boss loot (for that reset) is supposedly decided the moment you enter a raid.

If you enter with 5 characters in the same party/raid, you get 1 chance/shot at a mount drop.
If you run the raid 5 times solo (different instances = you get 5 chances/shots at a mount drop).

Also: for rares/world bosses:
if you run with other battlenet accounts that already have the mount... then, if one of them gets it, they can trade it to others that doesnt have it (assuming ofcourse they were in the same party/raid and was eligable for the loot). This is handy to know, as if you want to "secure" a possible drop... only run with outsiders / your other battlenet accounts that have the mount already.. ;) )

Ofcourse, worst case scenario, if a mount drops for f.ex your battlenet account nr 3 (and it cant trade, as it hasnt learned that mount earlier), you can character transfere that character (dont learn the mount though...) to the battlenet account you want the mount on... then learn it there after the transfere completed.

Wait wait wait... Confused... 2 scenarios/questions:

1. So if I bring my grouped team of 5 to Mechagon and kill Rustfeather, my chance on getting the mount is the same as if I just took one of my toons there?

2. If I run Karazhan for Fiery Warhorse Reins with my full group, I dont get 5 chances at that drop when I kill the boss, I just get one for the group?
-------> a. If the answer to 2 is "YES", then can I just ungroup all 5 of my team and run in one at a time for a shot at the mount?

1. Current content is personal loot and you have an increased chance of getting it because each toon has a chance since most mounts are battle.net bound.
2. You asked two questions here and one is No and the other is Yes. No you don't get 5 chances if grouped up. You always run legacy 5man/raids as solo to increase the chance of mount drops. It's just like any 5-man/raid where loot drops for the entire group and all toons will be locked to that instance and can only try once. If your character is 11 levels or higher than the content, then legacy loot mode is enabled, not personal.

The only exception to the 11 level rule is that the legion dungeons - has become legacy loot dungeons if you are lv. 120
