Hello all and Rob,

on one of my PCs I have 2 Windows XP installed and can switch between this two Windows XP installation via the bootmanager boot-us. http://www.boot-us.de/tips_w01.htm

As we all know that registering keyclone uses to verify our System ID for the valid registration. So on this PC I have keyclone installed on Wondows XP (1) and on Windows XP (2). But on these two Windows XP installation keyclone has two different system IDs. I always thought that the system ID depends on the hardware.

So now, do I have to buy a second keyclone license for my Windows XP (2) installation on the same hardware? Or is there a different way to get one keyclone license running on the same hardware but different Windows XP installation?

g'morning wanders,

what is the purpose of a general post? PM not working?

yes, since there would be no way to distinguish one install from another (the id is a combination of hardware/software), then you would have to get a license for both. (it doesn't pay to try the open forum method)

I believe he was just expecting both ID's to be the same. To tell you the truth, I think most non-computer savvy people would have.

maybe... but since he knows my name, he knows my forums id and could easily drop me a PM.

instead... a forum post?

Public posting prevents previous problems. (Aka this way someone else won't ask again if they notice this post, hopefully ;p)
