This may be common information to some, but I get asked quite a bit how I heal my team as it looks like I'm not clicking anything but my team is healing up. All team healing is used via focus macros and tried to distill this down into a 3 minute video. Once you lay it out you can heal your entire team quickly and efficiently and have your mouse free to do other tasks.

*note this isn't to say Click Healing is not also good, they both have their pro's and cons. This is just the style I like and hoping to help others!

I'm also working on my guides as I would say my "training" skills need work so hopefully more will come in the future that are refined.

*Added part 2

Additional note!!
This video inadvertently shows why I like a Prot Paladin as a tank so much, their heals combined with my Shaman heals to give very powerful heals at the same time when they are combined.

Thanks for sharing. Your system is really good and it definitely allows you more flexibility in being able to keep up with what's going on, on your screen and dealing with unexpected mechanics, whereas I often times find myself choosing between healing and avoiding mechanics.

That being said, the only drawback to this style is that you REALLY need to be able to line up your characters with your focus macros and be very precise on your targeting. Your naming convention is so good for this. Outside of that, the only other way to really accomplish this would really be through time and the learning curve of adjusting to the playstyle and pure muscle memory for when to do what. I'm definitely not really willing to put in the time to adjust to the system today, but I will probably look to move to a system like this in SL.

One other thing I've toyed with is using a clickbar to set focus using a /focus mouseover macro. It doesn't free up your mouse so I'm not sure how useful that really is, but it does eliminate the need to sit there and click spam when you're trying to deal with other things.

Lastly, I really like how old school your setup is. Straight key broadcasts and in game macros. Reminds me of using keyclone once upon a time. It's really not all about the ISBoxer setup but really managing the playstyle and getting good at it.

Pretty much has the same-ish ideas about this kind of setup. The reason I've opted for more clicking options until now is that I've been running larger teams. For 10-15 toons I just don't think keybinds are all that feasible. Since I'm now running just 5, the keybinds start to make a lot more sense and so I've added them as well on top the click heals and being able to assign focus with the mouse. More choices is rarely bad.

As far as the alignment I personally found that since my party frame is vertical and sorted alphabetically, I could just have the keybinds (ctrl+1-5 currently) correspond to focusing to each character in that visual order from left to right. Seems simple enough to get used to.

Hi,

First time poster, long time boxer. I really enjoy watching your videos however I have one request :) for me I am a click healer but would be open to other methods. However I am still not really sure how to go about it. I am a visual learner, for the moment I have 6 5 man teams mostly used for world quests and normal/heroic dungeons. I think my latency (200ms) might be too much for mythic + or until I can sort out all of my keybinds further than the basics I have already done. It would be nice to see a video with some examples of how you have it setup? but thanks for your hard work and videos I enjoy watching them.
