Hey all, my team finished up farming honor last night, (40k honor points stored) mostly because I was sick of AV. I had planned to store up 75k before making the grind to 70, but I figure I'll need to get marks from the other battlegrounds at 68-69 anyways, so I'll finish up the grind then. Besides, I have a full stack of AV tokens in my bag, and a bunch rotting in the mailbox, and I've run out of token items to buy (Even bought the Frostwolf tabard)

While I am tired of AV, and eager to experience end game with my team, I have to say..... running AV at 60 is a very rewarding experience, especially if you plan out your gear and start early. I started at 58, but honestly I think I should have gone out there at 57 or even 56. I had a few quests I just couldn't finish cause I was too close to hitting 61.

AV is a beautiful place for a multiboxer, plain and simple. There's lots of room for you to breath, and moving with a group of 5 doesn't hinder the overall strategy of your team like it does in other battlegrounds. In fact, it can be insanely powerful. Coupled with the fact that I was always battleground leader as a result of my party size, I found that I made quite a difference in the battleground. Once you explain what you're doing to the regulars, and show that you know what you're doing, people really start to recognize you. By the end of my tenure in 60 AV, I found that no less than a half dozen players greeted me in /bg when I joined. Most players came to realize - and be quite vocal about the fact - that if they saw me in the battleground, it was an easy win.

I don't think it's because multiboxing offers any advantage that should be moderated by Blizzard. However, having 5 people working together to accomplish goals is very rare to see in AV. Sometimes you'll see people who group up and work on something together, usually rogues working to ninja towers. It's rare to see a group stay together throughout a game, though. I found I was able to do things like riding to DB to take bunkers - and keep them even when the alliance sent squads to try to recover them. I even once joined a game where the horde was losing, and had relegated themselves to defending frostwolf graveyard while they lost the resource war. I rode past the alliance and killed Balinger with my team of 5 and no other assistance. We won the game.

I must say, I feel sorry for those I left behind. I'm quite sure the victories we enjoyed were at least in a large part a result of my participation. That's the price I pay to blaze my path to 70, but maybe I'll level an alt team to 60 to rejoin them all.

PvP Goes so much better and is more fun/more often won as Shamen than it does as boxed Boomkin...I can solo gank and pvp great with my main boomkin but bringing the other 2 into the equasion introduces just as many problems as it does advantages...and after being ganked by Reprial's shamans without being able to so much as moonfire in response before they were all dead, s'why I'm bringing up my third shaman and bringing back my boxed Shamen :p

Thanks for sharing your AV @ 60 experiences.

I am currently sitting at 75% through 59 and has thought I was just going to head to outlands at 60 and power onto 70. However after read this you have convinced me to spend a while farming AV at 60. I am alliance on BG9 and we totally suck at AV @ 70. Therefore I think I should jump in at 60 where I can make a big difference, get myself 100 AV tokens and a whole bunch of honor that will be heaps easier than getting owned when I first hit 70.

Out of curiosity, did you play some common particular strat in most AV games (like defending the bridge, etc.) or just go where you saw the need?

Got enough marks and honour for a couple of glad bits on my chars, but the honour gain was slow tbh. I'd say save 50-100 marks for EOTS and AV, a few for WSG and AB depending on your success, then head on up.
