Hey!
I find my self checking in on this forum a couple of times everyday in hope of learning something new. Im a Wow veteran but only about a year under my belt when it comes to Multiboxing. Currently Im leveling a MMMMP team and once I hit 60 with thoose Im gonna boost another 3 characters to make up for the 8 accounts currently allowed under 1 battlenet account.
I want you guys oppinion on what thoose 3 characters should be with the goal of being able to Multibox all classic content up to and including drakkisath. I have been leaning towards 1 priest, 1 warrior and another mage wich would make the following team:
5 mages arcane/fire
1 warrior prot
2 priests disc/holy
It doesent have to be pretty and the above specs is not written in stone, only what ive came to find most usefull during the leveling process.
Ive never ran UBRS while multiboxing and my goal with this post is basically to not make a huge error when it comes to creating the 3 more characters, therefor i hope someone with experience can shed some light and directions. In my mind im hoping that a prot warrior can charge in and be kept alive with 2 priests spamming heals while the mages basically destroy drakkisath during a shieldwall duration,
this is in no way shape or form proven by me, just hopefull thinking i guess :).
Thanks guys,

If Horde I would do Feral Druid, Resto Sham/another priest, Lock.
If alliance I would do Pal tank, Priest, Lock.

I have similar goal of 8 man UBRS, but I decided that I want to do it with one of each class. My "team1" is warrior priest lock mage rogue and my "team2" started as druid, hunter and paladin, but I very quickly added 2 mages just to speed up the levelling process. My idea is warrior main tank, priest and druid healing, and dps will be hunter, lock, mage and rogue. Hopefully the paladin can fulfil the hybrid role, probably spec prot/holy to to ease the strain on the warrior and provide spot cleansing/healing.

Iam playing alliance, i thought about a melee cleave since i hate to stop and drink but i was told they are not viable endgame for boxing because
no Windfury
If UBRS is your goal to master, then melee is the way to go due to the high magic resists of the dragon type monsters.
If you want to keep your mages as main dps, you will need a warlock for the elemental curse (-75 resist and +10% damage).
Rogues/Feral druids are hard to control due to the combo system (they will always be out of sync in terms of points).
So simply take 2-3 warrior dps' and replace one of the priests with a paladin; the buffs are just too strong to miss out.

I approiciate the response. Im gonna start working on 4 warriors and 1 paladin this evening then!

I think clearing UBRS with 8 charakters is very difficult, either you have very good gear for healers and tanks or consumables for drakkisath.
[fr gear for tanks for drakkisath is useful
fr potions for tanks and melees
mana potions for healers, caster dd
elixier for dd and healer]
if your goal is to clear UBRS including drakkisath, then you need at least
2 tanks
2 healer
1 kiter (mage - fire with pom preferred, use switfness potion)
I think the pull and kiting from drakkisath is the most difficult part.
with Fire Mage Pyro Pull max range, pom fireball - turn back blink, swiftness potion auto run above bridge
(if this is not enough aggro you should specc Arcane Power and / or ZG Trinket)
warrior tank are standing on same spot as Mage
Warriors dd and feral stand in kiting path of mage 10yards away from mage / if you use a caster heavy team you can help to pull the adds with voidwalker
warriors dd and feral have different adds in target and spam charge,
as soon as mage is autorunning, you should control tanks, after blink is ready manually adjust your mage, (maybe cast fireblast)
on alliance side I would suggest following group compensation:
melee heavy
warrior tank
feral tank
paladin heal
priest heal
warrior dd
warrior dd
warrior dd
Mage
after adds are down, positioning for drakkisath is very important
tanks and melees should stay in a triangle, because of conflagration and flame strike
caster heavy
warrior tank
feral tank
paladin heal
priest heal
Warlock
Mage
Mage
Mage
---
Pro/cons for drakksiath
melee heavy
positioning is very important
drakkisath is a long fight, only healer mana is an issue, warriors can do damage all the time
melee dd are more gear dependant
caster heavy
tanks have more health if you use imp after adds are down
ss for kiter to have one more dd for drakksiath
positioning is easier for drakksiath
dd mana can be a problem
---
another tactik for drakkisath
2 tanks
2 healers
4 warrior dd
you cleave adds with drakkisath down
tanks can use aoe taunt and cooldowns at start
positioning and gear will be most important
I dont know if this can work with 4 dd warriors, because the tank damage and aoe damage which is caused because of bad positioning is too high.
I think on Horde side with a shaman instead of paladin it would be easier, because of wf and chain heal spam

so 2 shamans spamming chainheal on 6 warriors could work? Feral aura isnt raidwide only party right?

Drakisath would probably be a nightmare for you if you’re running a bunch of ranged and only have 1 tank. I suspect you’d lose 1-2 dps every time he conflags the tank.
Another problem you’ll run into is just how difficult the trash between the beast and drak are. You’ll need to get very good at managing your cc if you want to get through that trash without wiping on every pull.
As someone mentioned I can clear UBRS with 2 shamans and 8 warriors pretty easily but that’s largely because of how geared all of my characters are. The biggest reason I opted for stacking warriors and shamans is because recklessness combined with every other warrior CD is by far the strongest burst in the game. With totems I can kill drak before he even conflags once. I stack shamans mainly because I can rely on chain heals to do the heavy lifting for me, and totems are extremely useful for multiboxing.
If you’re interested I’ve uploaded a couple videos on YouTube.com/bronyflexxor in which I kill some Mc bosses on classic with a raid full of warriors and shamans, and did an almost full clear of UBRS (I skipped drak because he’s not worth the trouble for me)
