I have had a second account open for WoW for a while - just for various things and small tasks - and I want to take boxing a bit more seriously and do something more productive. I am a heavy PvE'r and I am one of those people who like to cap reputation and really soak up the experience of WoW, like obtaining rarer items and farming for profession patterns.

Right now, I main a Lock with a mage at 60 on the same account. I was debating on leveling a Priest or a Druid on another account to use as pocket healer for my lock for farming. Especially with the upcoming Cenarion Circle rep grind, it just seemed like it could be faster with less downtime to keep a HoT up and chain kill mobs. Is it worth the effort? Or do you really only see better results if you are more closer to a 5-man boxing team?

IMO, two boxing is fine, but any more and you should go up to 5. You will probably get bit by the multiboxing bug and want 3 more accounts anyway :)

I'd always want a healer in a dual boxing setup, or at least a class that can heal/res. Priest pairs well with a mage or lock, and a shadow priest can help a warlock pretty well.

True! I always forget about that shadow priest buff.. since I never seem to have one in raid I'm in.

About the only healer without mana issues that doesnt have to stop and drink every time would be the paladin, which pairs well with the warrior. Everything else seems faster farming with solo, mage being the king.

If you play retail then 3 might be ideal so you can do the island expeditions, but as daviddoran mentioned its usually either 2 or 5.

This is smart! I really need to work on these too and it's so annoying trying to get a group of people who are not horrible.
