I just did a clean install on my PC'S this evening and decided to give Keyclone a try over AHK. Did the installation on both PC's, Purchased each id per Pc and did the setup as instructed. In the Keyclone box i can see that a connection is made between the 2 PC's. All looks good but unfortunatly I cannot get Both PC's working together when I press a key for all five instances. The program works perfectly with three instances running on one and two on the other but not together as one. I have the latest version installed. Any help would be appreciated.

I am having the exact same problem with pretty much the same exact setup. I temporarly got everything working by running synergy with broadcast enabled. and keyclone together. keyclone seems to work perfect with each individual PC it just has trouble sending the commands over the network.

sorry about not seeing the post last night (thursday.. friends... beer... you get the idea).
i'll check that out when i get home tonight and see what i can do. (i do have a few other items to add to the next version, so we'll see how it goes.)
if i get any fixes, i'll post them here on dual-boxing.

I haven't had any trouble using keyclone over my network. Although my setup doesn't include running two WoW's on a single machine, just one machine to another.

g'evening. i was not able to reproduce the machine to machine issue. seems to work for me.
for simplified testing, i ran 2 notepads on each machine (4 total), ran keyclone on both... added notepads.. connected keyclones... typed the alphabet... and all was good. (although i couldn't get synergy to work between the two machines... funny)
was able to confirm (as if it needed it) that the extended keys are definitely not passing. (grr)
so, my first task is getting that working. i'll put up a post if there is a new version tonight (hopefully).
please confirm that the keyclones are able to connect (could be a network issue). do you see a ping number? what is it? do you see the x(y) Bps? what is that? (x == recv'd, y == sent)

I tried your test and came up empty. I also ran the wow instances once again to no avail. This is what I see in the Keyclone box:
192.168.0.103:1320 Ping( 0.00ms) that seems to never change, then next to that i see 0016 ( 0016) BPS. That changes every sec or so into 00
Theres A little o over a dotted line that travels back and forth above the connect box when a key is pressed on both machines.
I May be setting up the program wrong im not sure. Maybe even entering the ip addresses incorrect. Which box is used to connect and what needs to be written in it. One last thing. where should i run the program from. currently it under program files in which i open the keyclone folder and double click the kc icon. Thanks for your time.
PS- when i tried to open it again it froze and said the license was expired lol. :(

Edit: answered my own question by rereading
I just tried two WoW's on 1 machine and 1 on my machine, not having any problems with broadcasting. Although I couldn't get my machine to connect to the other, I just had the other connect and it worked fine.
Hey keyclone, not sure if this means anything to you, but extended keys work for me with Synergy (no broadcasting) when I move my mouse over to my other machine.

the 'O' with the dots is a form of heartbeat meant to twitch whenever keys are being sent/received. the 16/16 means there is data going between the two keyclones, at about 16 bytes/sec each way.
the program can be run from anywhere, it is not location dependent (unless it cannot find the required DLLs). double clicking the icon within the keyclone directory should work just find. you could right-click/drag the icon to your desktop... release and select 'create shortcut' to put an easily accessible icon on your desktop. (at some point i'll put together a proper install program...)
when you want to connect to another keyclone, put the address in the small edit field at the bottom of the main screen to the right of the connect button.
when entering ip addresses, the proper syntax is:
<ip>[:<port>]
anything within the angle brackets is required, anything within the square brackets is optional. so, if you did '192.168.9.2' ... it would assume you wanted to use the default port of 1320. otherwise, you can use any port you wish... you just have to specify it, ie: '192.168.9.2:1399' and there are no spaces anywhere.
as for connections... it does depend on firewalls. firewalls usually allow data to go outwards without blocking... but they will usually stop everything coming in... unless you open the proper port. another trick in the case of a stubborn firewall would be to try and 'cross connect'. basically trick the firewalls into allowing the data through. so, put the address into both keyclones (address A into kc B, address B into kc A)... and hit connect at roughly the same time. this could trick the firewall into thinking the remote side is answering your initial response.
as for the extended keys on remote clones, works fine through the keymaps, but i cannot get it working directly. i'm working on solving that issue now and i'm hoping to push an update this weekend (if not tonight).

After hours of trying everything I could think of including your instructions im at this point:
I can now get the Note Pads to type on each pc as you stated ealier as a test.......In game the Bags may all open the first time activating them but only close on my main PC.
When pressing enter it will broadcast across all instances and type but only display on my main pc to the game world.
There seems to be a connection but ust not working properly in terms of broadcasting to the other PC. Also what is this ! and *! next to a window in the keyclone box.
Very frustrating as i am so anxiuos to use this program to its fullest benefit.
P.S my rauter is D-LINK di-604. Do i need specfic settings? Thank you for any info.

very frustrating. i wish i could work on your machine to solve it. on my machines, the non extended keys work fine. hmm.. are you using a standard english style keyboard or foreign language set?
no router changes should be necessary, so long as they can connect and pass ping information, your networking should be ok (they would timeout and disconnect otherwise, or just never connect)
i put various symbols on the clones to help understand what they are doing. its mostly experimental, but i've found them useful. this is what they standard for now:
'*' currently active clone
'!' not passing mouse information
's' suspended
'-' only allowing hotstrings
i may be removing the mouse info in the next build. (it needs more debugging, especially with wow)

And Id like to thank Keyclone for taking a tremendous amount of time out of his busy schedule to go through with me every step of this program and at the end finding a solution to my problem.
I strongly recommend dealing with this company - it is rare to find someone standing behind their product 100% - and you'll find that here.
Game on!!!!!
