Just getting back into MB myself after a long break. Really enjoying classic. I did a lil 2 and 3-boxing the last few weeks to make sure I really wanted to get back into it again. Of course once you get your feet wet, you may as well dive right in.

I been reading all the comp threads and I think I'll do either WMMMP or just MMMMP as I already have a 60 Mage & Warrior on 1 account and 60 Priest on another, so which ever way I level I'll be able to swap them around later. (I may actually level a Druid tank and Shaman heals just for something different)

I do think that all my MB will really only be to funnel gold to my main (mage), along with enjoying some of the challenge of running my own 5-man dungeons. But I can't imagine trying to get beyond pre-BiS gearing.

I see lots of folks talking about AOE farming Strat-Live for Orbs, and DME for herbs. I could imagine E'ko farming may be decently profitable, and maybe demon farming Winterspring for Eye of Shadow (500g on my server still).

What else seems like a good g/hr MB farm? And did you have to make any specific comps to farm that?

The bst I've found so far is DM E for Herbs, Arcane Crystal, Shards/Essences. DM E is my favorite simply because it's so hard to crash the respective markets.

You're other main money makers:
Strat Live - Orbs
E'ko - not worth it from my experience
Demons - at 500g its worth doing, but you'll have to be careful since you can crash that market really easily
LBRS - GFPP/Archmage pattern farm can be a good filler

with botters crashing the righteous orb market

stratlive just doesnt feel really profitable sadly

Their not bots, if your talking about the Druid/magex3/priests that are in strat... they’re multiboxs that are be run by different teams of people non stop. Watch them when they come out of the instance to sell stuff. They run driver/4slaves and they steer around mobs and enemies as they ride. Bots don’t. Bots would plow straight into you. I chased one down on my hunter box to kill it and it reacted to me and tried to move away from me. Then I found it again in lights hope and camped outside for it to come out, it tried to sneak around me and go out the side.

He could be botting inside the instance, but manually controlling the characters when the bags are full / while going to and from the mailbox. If you feel like it, just rapport whoever you see as a possible cheater, and it will be investigated by a real gm or/and the good old trusty blizzard "automatic antibot checker".

I was actually wondering the same thing, but how effective would botting in an instance be? I mean there’s packs that need certain CC in strat, there’s patrols and respawns... over all it’s a bloody nightmare for half of us most of the time.

Strat Live is pretty easy to just nuke your way through and almost a straight line to get to the orbs. The only issue I could see with a bot is the stupid Eye of Naxx, that thing has caused me to wipe more than anything. You need no CC for Strat Live or Strat UD.

oh their most definently bots they walk on a predetermined path inside undercity they do it 1 at a time to lessen the chance they are reported

problem is reporting them does no good unless blizzard bans their bots before they reach 40 they have already made back the 10bux they spent on that months subscription fee

they will keep buying more accounts selling gold to players ruining the economy meanwhile making blizzard shareholders "cough cough" activision happy

theres no good incentive for blizzard to do anything about it unless a massive amount of people quit subbing due to it
to the point where it out weights the resubbing botters

I'm farming Scholomance for Dark Runes (8-10g each) and Essence of Undeath (to transmute to water and this to air/fire depending on current prices - got several lvl 35 characters per account that just act as Alchemist/Tailor factory for transmutes and mooncloth.

Or as Xyl41 already said: DME for herbs, crystals and Felcloth (=> mooncloth)

question. where you do park your level 35 tailors for mooncloth creation? Do you just stock them up with felcloth every so often and have your main 60 swing by the spot to pick it up?

been thinking about leveling up some toons to 35 since there is a little more free time these days.

They are parked in Darnassus.

Basically each day I send the farmed stuff to them in a rotation so every1 always have enough to work with.
Every couple of days they then send the items to a central bank alt that's doing all the AH stuff.

For Mooncloth, I would park them in Org. There is a Moonwell in Ashenvale very close.

For horde I use Silithus moonwell.

I'm just doing a team of three elemental shamans. I've been farming Scholo. Just do the first few rooms, up to the plagued hatchlings, but I don't bother killing them, they aren't really worth it. Takes about 20 mins, depending on how focused I am. Long enough to never hit the instance lockout even if I'm chaining runs. Get a ton of Dark Runes which are good money even when I'm selling them super cheap to guildies. Plus raw gold, vendor trash (with the Caer Darrow quest trinket there is an accessible vendor right outside the instance) plenty of Disenchantable greens, and an occasional sellable BOE blue.

I'll 2nd the Silithis moonwell recomendation. I'm doing that with my alt now, even without multiboxing. Mailbox and Inn close by. Getting a level ~35-40 there can be time consuming, but worth it if you plan to just leave them there for weeks at a time - quicker than flying to Splintertree then running to ashenvale every 4 days

I'm kinda surprised to see so my DM:E recommendations - that's the standard recommendation I'd give to any Mage or Lock for solo farming.
