The secret ingredient to all of this is the Hivemind mount, it lets you move around the map and get back together once combat has ended. I've been enjoying this "feature" for the past 4 months or so and felt a bit selfish for not sharing.
This is with follow still not working. So your still at a huge disadvantage which is why you need to have your team comprised of only IWT capable classes, otherwise a fear or similar is a complete game over.

I queued up for a random BG and I have only done this one I think once before. It's a decent enough layout to still be a positive impact on the team.

I think any of the Capture the flag or minecarts type of situation isn't feasible so queuing for a random bg is pretty risky but to that note the epic BG's are typically a sound choice if you want some action. I did try the Southshore brawl, and it was a giant lag fest- would advise against that.

A user asked so I figured I'd add an opinion here from a moderator viewpoint: Blizzard could easily prevent this from happening by not allowing this specific mount in Arenas / Battlegrounds. I don't see this as being against the rules here.

It’s so frustrating as is even with this mount, if they do go ahead and disable it. It truly means they do not want mutliboxers in PvP and it will no longer be behind the veil of stopping bots. The quest line to even obtain the mount takes 8-12+ hours and only works for that specific group. There’s no way a bot team would utilize this method as it’s not effective or worth it. I don’t even think they use /follow in the first place.

Even with this being a thing I barely touch battlegrounds which is pretty disappointing because I love the PvP aspect of WoW. You still put your team at a large disadvantage and some maps such as capture the flag is a very high chance of losing since there is multiple pockets where a mount isn’t possible.

Hoping if they (Blizzard) sees this they can do a reversal instead and re-enable follow as Battlegrounds are as “fair” as it gets. There’s even numbers, and solo players should always outperform a multiboxer in theory if they work as a team.

the problem is no matter how good you are there are always people on the forums complaining. When you lose your own team complains and when you win the opponents do. In fact you could say losing is better because theres less people complaining since you take multiple spots :).

Besides missing out on all the pvp fun i used to have, they put a lot of good rewards behind pvp that we cant really get to unless we solo. I feel like every patch closes the door on us a little more each time. I'm seriously considering trying something new like FF14 or going back to classic or one of the old games i used to enjoy.

I mean i can enjoy the game without pvp, but even the little bugs that trigger "no follow" while doing world quests are really really annoying. And back in the early years i couldnt even fathom playing this game without pvp.

The Hivemind is a great work-around, but i doubt it will last long in bg's. I really do feel like the dev's dont want us in "competitive" pvp. The bad pvpers think it's the reason why they lost. The good pvpers just laugh at us because they beat us, and when we do get one on them they still laugh it off. I've even had people in arena message me GG's because they enjoyed the challenge and break from the norm. The majority are the bad pvpers.

They should just do a compromise.. its not 5 boxers that get the bad rep as much as the 10+ i would say mostly the insane 20+ is the biggest culprit. Make it so no more than one bent can be in a PvP zone/warmode. So that's 8 max..or even limit it to 5. ( PvP only )

Classic PvP is also really annoying. You only can do WPvP. WPvP was fun in the beginning of Classic but nowadays a lot of single players are raid geared and destroy my team in in WPvP with ease.
Problem is that it is really hard to get good gear as multiboxer in Classic. Doing PUG-Raids for each char is really frustrating and takes a decade

I have the Hivemind on 3 teams currently. I’ve done the quest though probably 8 times. (Not all from scratch) it seems excessive thinking about it but after having a fresh team recently as soon as they hit 120 I did this quest due to how much it helps.

you're still extremely limited as far as mobility goes. Takes almost all of the fun out of it. Worth it for pvp daily's and weekly's though. If 1 single player figures out what you're doing and wants to troll you, they can keep you locked down in one spot the whole game.

It's an ilvl 400 trinket - Highborne Compendium of Storms. I think I need to upgrade it but.. it's pretty good. Gives haste and procs that damage ability.

I'd hope not, as you can see from my videos - even with really good play on my side - it's still tough to win. I have a video up in queue of an EoTS where I shred the enemy team but we still lose the match.
If they do make the change, it will be a direct shot at not wanting multiboxers pvping even in a controlled "fair" environment of 15 players vs 15 players as opposed to world pvp where we see 20+ vs 1 which is obviously not equal grounds.

Adding a Deepwind Gorge loss, to show even when we do a decent job and get lots of HK's multiboxing still has side effects and isn't even close to being a win most of the time. Hopefully we can show that it causes our team to also lose the game if the opponents play around it.

I was hoping for Ele, but that was nice to watch. DH's are are so broken during their CD's. Probably the hardest class to fight as a boxer.

edit:Just mentioning because that one single DH that gave you trouble at the start, they are so annoying they cant be killed outside of a stun during meta.

Thanks for your videos Ellay! Playing my ele's today a bit.. i really miss the awesomeness of all the fire and lightning happening.. its visually stunning and amazing to behold! Have you tried ele spec this expac Ellay? My guys dont even have cloak yet..390 item level and seem to do well considering. I think ill play them now until exp launch just to get used to them again. ( will try enhance as well )

Yes I originally tried Ele first with the goal of Lightning Lasso being the main component every 30 seconds. It ended up not working due to the stun component of it. The first cast does full damage but the second does half, third does 25% and fourth cast done 0%. So a 4x cast of it only nets 1.75 of the potential 4x damage if that. On top of that they can’t move too well while doing damage.
The changes in SL should fix some of this but for PvP I think Enhance is the way while Ele is stilll mythic + viable.

I've also started trimming the non action spots of the run so hopefully make them more ... entertaining if that helps let me know.
